communications with the host has been easy. So there was no uneasiness from the beginning till the end. To stay in an old-style wooden house waking up with singing of wild birds was a unique experience even for a Japanese traveler living in a big city!

Johnny was super helpful to show us all sightseeing spots, fastest routes to combine all sites and even helped us book a dinner reservation, which is difficult on the island. The house is a traditional Japanese house and well maintained. A great stay on a beautiful island.

The host picked us up from the port and took us to the house. He showed us around, made excellent recommendations (and then did the booking for us) and just generally made the stay exceptional. As it is a very small Island, there were some tricks (like how to use the local bus, that all the restaurants get full so you need to have a booking, etc) that our host explained that made all the difference to our stay in Naoshima. The place was clean, tidy and well setup - perfect size for 3/4 people and a great location. I can't say thank you enough!

Very comfortable house, kitchen equipped with everything you need, the owner Johnny, very kind, makes you feel very comfortable as a host, booked us, at our request, places to restaurants for dinner. When we left, he drove us to the ferry. We stayed in the house for 3 nights. Recommended.

The bedroom was lovely, in a very traditional style. And the owner was very helpful and kind, he offered to pick us up from the ferry and also kindly booked dinner for us in the evening

The house is within walking distance of the new Naoshima museum and the art houses. Perfect for exploring the area. Johnny is an amazing host! He helped us plan our museum visits and gave us great advice. We were traveling with our two kids, so his support was especially appreciated. Really a nice stay, comfortable with five futons in one tatami room. Kitchen with enough to have breakfast with toast. The owner very friendly, with tips on where to eat and some triennale info.

Great location for access to Honmura and the Art House Project. The property was clean, central and historic Johnny was very helpful and forthcoming with information about getting the most out of our stay on the island.

J-house was perfect for our 1 night stay at Naoshima Island. There was heaps of room, it was very easy to find and the bed was super comfortable. It felt so nice to have a whole house as the accomodation and it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The host was super easy to reach and greeted us when we checked in. Was also walking distance to all the Art House Projects!

Johnny is an excellent host. He was super clear in communication and met us at the Ferry and took our luggage from the Port to JHouse. He also gave great advice on where to eat. The location is easy to access Honmura area and about a 15-20min walk to the museum area.

J-House is a lovely old Japanese house in the perfect location to access the Art House Project. You can walk to the Bernesse House area as well or take the bus. Johnny, the host, is very supportive and helped us with restaurant booking as well. We had an amazing time!
