“Views over Seto Sea”

We staying in a separate building to the main hotel. It was fairly new and smelled of fresh timber which was wonderful. From the balcony we had a 180 degree view across the Seto Sea. An upstairs floor would be perfect for children to sleep. A sauna in the bathroom which was very relaxing after a day of walking. Staff were lovely.

A decent option for staying on Naoshima, especially given the limited accommodation choices available on the island. The location was convenient, within walking distance of the port, although be prepared for a fairly steep uphill walk with luggage. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the view, which was absolutely stunning and made for a memorable setting. The room itself was quite small and felt a little tired. It also didn’t feel as clean as we would have liked, and there were very few amenities beyond the basics. However, the price was relatively reasonable compared to some of the other accommodation options on the island. Overall, while the hotel wasn’t particularly luxurious, it served its purpose as a base for exploring Naoshima. If your priority is spending your days enjoying the island’s art and scenery rather than the hotel itself, it’s a perfectly adequate choice.

Great location close to all the must-do things on Naoshima Island. Do book a corner room, offering great views. Dinners are fun for one night, and do go for a drink at the view bar.

Beautiful location, the sea view rooms in the separate building are nice. Don't understand why other guests complain about the hill to access the hotel. Nothing weird here.

Suited our needs perfectly for a 2 night stay on the island. 4 of us shared a 2 bedroom chalet/cottage with living/ kitchen, shared bathroom, sauna and outdoor bathtub. Spotlessly clean, comfortable and functional. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Food amazing!

Nice rooms, lovely view from our balcony and we were able to hire bikes from reception which was great. Food was nice. The hotel was also very responsive to my emails when we made the booking.

Really loved staying here in Naoshima. Spacious and Japanese / Scandi style room, great staff and a good dinner restaurant too.

Fantastic location near the port and en route to museums. It was spotless and very comfortable. The staff could not have been more helpful. I had data problems with my phone and they drove me to someone who could help. They have bikes for hire and arrange bag storage near the ferry or directing bags on. All bases covered! Also do go up to the sunset terrace - sensational!!
