“Amazing place to stay and explore Naoshima from”

Loved how friendly everyone is - made it really easy to leave my bags and explore and learn more about the island. Was a lovely old building. I was in a girls only dorm and it was really lovely and neat and beds were comfy. It was really close to a lot of great coffee, local eats and art projects.

The price and location

Great little guesthouse, friendly helpful staff. Great fun meeting other guests in the kitchen. Well located, we hired e-bikes at the port when we arrived by ferry and it was a short easy cycle ride to the guesthouse. At the time of booking they recommended a restaurant and made a booking for us. It turned out that the staff member who greeted us at the guesthouse also worked at the restaurant, where the atmosphere was very relaxing and the food was fantastic, I recommend it. Perfectly located for the art house project, be sure not to miss the dentist house!!

Right at the heart of the Honmura village in a quiet street. The staff is extremely friendly and the Ryokan is extremely well organised. Comfortable beds and the restaurant in partnership with the accommodation is delicious. Overall great stay. I wished I could have stayed a little longer.

We stayed here for 2 nights and were grateful to be on the quieter side of the island. The guesthouse itself had a peaceful atmosphere, and it was nice to be away from the busier areas. The staff were friendly and seemed eager to learn their jobs since they were new to the space.

Even though it’s not the most convenient place for finding food, the guesthouse is quiet and cozy. Staying there really let me feel the charm of traditional Japanese countryside life. The host was warm and professional, which made my experience even better.

Cute and pleasant place, tucked away from the main streets in a quiet location with kind staff and great facilities. Choose their recommended restaurant for dinner, everything was delicious (make sure to book in advance and ask to be seated on the floor for a true Japanese experience).

Everything! It was lovely staying in a traditional Japanese room. The facilities were clean and the staff were really helpful and friendly. I was sad to learn about the cat’s passing (Jubei). Loved seeing all the cute sketches and mementos of Jubei Overall it was a lovely stay!
