The location was great - didn't expect to see so many fantastic animals so close to the lodge - rhino, elephant, buffalo, water buck, warthogs, zebra etc definitely coming back to stay there.

“Breath-taking yet very relaxing!”
Our stay at the camp was truly unforgettable. The location offered breathtaking views of wildlife, with animals grazing just beyond the tent’s fence, truly a rare and spectacular sight. Spending the weekend with my spouse in such a serene environment was deeply relaxing, surrounded by natural beauty at every turn. The staff were exceptionally warm and attentive, ensuring every detail was taken care of. The tent itself was spacious, spotless and well maintained, blending comfort with the charm of the outdoors. The massage as well provided much-needed relief and added to the sense of indulgence. This was a special experience that combined tranquility and nature in perfect harmony. We look forward to returning at some point in the future.

“Beautiful accommodation in Ol Pejeta”
Everything was wonderful, what a special place!! Our ‘tent’ was very well furnished, with an extremely comfortable bed (and the hot water bottles that are brought round to everyone at night is really thoughtful). We were right by the watering hole -where zebras, rhinos and antelope visited during our two day stay. Close by the main Ol Pejeta gate and great access to the Conservancy. It seems the pool is quite new (?), a very nice facility for a cool down between game drives. The food was fantastic and the staff were very friendly, highly recommended!

Amazing location. Phenomenal game watching, to watch rhinos at their watering hole from your verandah was a privilege. Wonderful staff.

“A bit overrated.”
The location. The wildlife especially the rhinos. Great zebra elephants. Plus plenty of plains game.

“Memorable stay!”
The whole place was unreal, at times felt like we were just looking at a 'perfect picture' the resort is carefully thought out and gives a sense of 'being completely wild' or 'at one with nature" we saw so many animals pass by the watering hole. The Lodge was wonderful and the hot water bottles at night time were a wonderful suprise. All food was great and staff were lovely. We booked a night game drive and this was incredible - we were lucky enough to see a whole pride of lions. (A MUST DO DRIVE!) We have already recommended to family and friends! Thanks so much ✨️ *Also just to note you have to pay a daily fee for the park extra depending on how many nights you stay. This is payable at the security gate of ol pejeta conservancy.

Caution: When booking Sweetwaters camp, be aware there are now two distinct properties: Maisha and Serena. We accidentally booked Sweetwaters Maisha, thinking it was the well-established Sweetwaters Serena camp located within Ol Pejeta Conservancy. We then relocated to Sweetwaters Serena the following day. The two experiences are not comparable. If you're seeking a relaxing experience in nature with breathtaking views, choose Serena. Only consider Maisha if spacious tents and dining are your top priorities. - Located within the park with convenient access - Green and lush surroundings - Faces the waterhole with salt lick and offers spectacular Mount Kenya views - Intimate, cozy tented accommodations - Better value for money than Sweetwaters Manisha Camp
