“Great venue, change the rental management company!”

Between the booking and the end of our stay we received no less than 25 (twenty-five) emails from this company : "YourHost" (You have a message from The Barn by YourHost Nanyuki Kenya) with repetitive and increasingly demanding requests, such as the payment of a deposit (which we did eventually) and "online check-in", including (hold my beer) "a photo of your government-issued passport or ID as part of the form". And also : "Failure to complete it will affect your check-in experience as you will not be able to check in." (which we did without online check-in, no problem). I don't know who owns this place, but please replace this rental management company. My life does not revolve around answereing emails from weekend venues.... or being threatened!

“Sometimes it's a Coffee Pause,Sometimes its a Mountain View Escape”

It was homey and clean.The house is well equipped and staged.I particularly enjoyed my time in the kitchen as its well equipped and made some BBQ roast with the oven. What's more,the provision of some breakfast items was really thoughtful and oh!The cofffee-That was really nice My only regret was that I was there for a day!

The Barn was such a lovely property. We were 5 people from UK and only stayed for one night but wish we could have stayed longer. It’s such a beautiful setting and building. The interior design and furnishings are lovely too. Joyce was really helpful and communicative. Can’t recommend the place enough.

Lovely cute Barn very rustic and comfortable!

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Barn — excellent value for money. It’s an old house that’s been tastefully furnished; simple, comfortable, and everything works perfectly. Located about 20 minutes from Nanyuki town, it sits within a private farm that makes you feel completely removed from civilisation, yet you’re only minutes away from it. The uninterrupted views of Mount Kenya are absolutely majestic and breathtaking. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it for a short getaway or stopover.

The stay was short but memorable. The kids enjoyed the property is a hidden Gem very aesthetic and very serene. Very quiet and fresh air away from Nairobi pollution.

The place is absoluty fantastic! Quiet, spacious, very well equiped with great taste. The garden and view are wonderfull!'I will certainly come back!

It’s a beautiful location with great views of Mt Kenya, quiet, peaceful in well maintained gardens. I live the rustic-ness of the old barn and the layout too with the outdoor sitting area and large living area.

“The Great Rustic Barn!!!”

Amazing location. Not too far from thr main road. About 20 mins away from Nanyuki town so not to far from the shops in case you need something. It was very quiet except for the drone of the boda bodas passing once in a while. Amazing view of Mt. Kenya from the verandah. We had the whole place to ourselves which was great. Lots of room to walk about as well. Fairly large rooms and the bathrooms were clean and decent.

Location, it was true to its name, the property itself, wonderful and green, the staff were fantastic, a very cosy vibe.

“Great location, but needs some things looking into”

It is undeniable that the location is excellent and in the early morning you will have a fantastic view of Mount Kenya. Many things have been thought about at the Barn such as the kitchenware, and many little things that add to the cosiness of this accommodation. There is a rustic feel (as was intended and described) in their description of the property. The housekeeper was available by phone and we met the housekeeper at check out.

Chosen purely for the convenience being ideal location as a stop over to break up our long journey from L.Baringo back to Nairobi. It lovely in the photos
