Everything! What a beautiful location, views, gardens! Very comfortable bed. Bathroom is not meant for big people, but for is was just fine. Really appreciated a gift from the hosts, such a sweet touch. Hot tub was really appreciated during this weekend cold weather. I can only imagine how even prettier everything is during summer when grasses go green! Lots of birds just near windows. Stunning sunrises not to be missed. Harold was very helpful and accommodating. Would stay again!

Everything was perfect. The view was wow. Waking up and watching the birds while lying in bed was special. Harold was great host and very helpful sharing local insights on places to visit.

Peaceful and private location. Host was friendly and accessible, but not over powering. Loved watching the hummingbirds.

“Beautiful accommodation in stunning surroundings”

Beautiful accommodation. Stunning view from large picture windows. Saw deer, hummingbirds, woodpecker and eagle. Local supermarket and liquor store a 5 min drive. So convenient for ferries at Nanaimo. Facilities were excellent including a washing machine and a drier. Barbecue was a bonus. Owner was very friendly and helpful.

Harold met us upon arrival and gave us a quick tour of the apartment and the facilities. He had put together a book of local recommendations for eating, walking and sightseeing. He had also created a map of the local area to show you where places were. The apartment was well provisioned and was very comfortable. The sunrise was also very spectacular.

Excellent location, excellent accommodation, excellent hosts. Being so close to nature and enjoying the peace and comfort was a perfect recipe to unwind, relax and explore this beautiful area.

Our stay at Inn the Estuary was absolutely fantastic - we truly wished we could have stayed longer! This beautiful area allowed us to completely unwind, slow down, and fully enjoy the peace and breathtaking nature around us. The comfort level was simply perfect - pure well-being from start to finish. The communication was excellent, and we deeply appreciated the wonderful conversations with Harold and his incredibly helpful tips about the region. Thank you so much again, for making our stay even more special. If we get the chance, we will most definitely come back!

“Truly wonderful, memories that will last forever.”

Wow, words cannot describe you need to stay as this was indeed an exceptional property with wonderful views and surroundings. We had been travelling from Scotland around Canada for 15 days and this was such a beautiful welcoming place to visit and stay. We stayed in ‘The view’ and it was just breathtaking, the accommodation was beautifully decorated and the views were incredible. We received a lovely warm welcome from Harold (owner) who went out of his way to make us feel at home, give us advice on places to visit during our 2 day stay which was wonderful. The accommodation was truly perfect in every aspect from design, comfort, cleanliness, hospitality and location. We were sad to leave and very much hope to return one day. Communicating with Angela ( manager/ owner) was excellent. The accommodation had everything we needed including air conditioning, cooking facilities, fridge, freezer and complimentary coffee, tea, sugar and fresh milk. We didn’t cook at the property as we visited the rusted rake a short walk from the property and ate there both nights which was perfect also highly recommend. Thank you so much for creating such a unique property we will forever have fond memories from our time at Inn the Estuary.

“Incredible stay”

A hidden gem. Stunning location on the edge of an estuary with wildlife on your doorstep. Our children were delighted to see the resident beaver each day. Harold the owner is so lovely and helpful. He arranged for us to kayak out into the estuary one evening. It is the perfect base to explore Nanoose Bay, Parksville and Nanaimo. Our only regret was that we did not book for longer.

Howard was incredibly attentive and the apartment was very peaceful and well appointed. Lovely quiet spot and a good hub for exploring the area. Could have stayed longer.
