“Magical Honeymoon”
It feels like this entire beautiful snowy forest is ours alone. There’s no one else around, so we can fully relax, take photos, and enjoy some intimate moments during our honeymoon at this hotel.

“Super option in Hokkaido for this price with family”
It has a unique outdoor onsen, the lake is literally below you, beautiful at night and during the day too! The onsen is available all night. It was snowing when we arrived, it was so beautiful! The staff could speak English, they were so kind. There is a large free parking lot and a bakery. The hotel is very comfortable with a small kid, spacious and clean, no smoke smell, dark and silent at night. The bed is very good. Comfortable cotton pajamas are given. The breakfast is truly exceptional with local specialities and magnificent views to Mount Komagatake. We could sit in the VIP room as a family. We bought bentos for dinner at the Hakodate Red Brick Warehouse Sushi place in Hakodate, I can warmly recommend them.

We loved the location in the forest, and were very fortunate there were beautiful autumn leaves. View from onsen, and from the breakfast room if you are lucky enough to get a window seat. Onsen is great, though not large given the guest capacity of the hotel. Check before you enter. Plentiful and varied foods at the breakfast buffet. Large room, which was clean. Staff are helpful and polite. Shuttle to Onuma-koen. Quality of bakery items at the pan-ya: check opening hours. We would happily stay again.

“Thank you, Peter!”
The man who greeted us at this hotel was superb. A white Canadian guy, born in Japan. He was so lovely and even came over to give us a map, pointing out a beach tree we should visit on our road trip to our next destination. Top guy. Thank you, Peter! The hotel is new with ample parking, set in a wonderful natural environment surrounded by trees. Some people say it is dated but I disagree. It is part of the magic of Japan. I loved my pyjamas, the room was okay and our view of the mountain was something else, amazing and we loved it. We also loved the onsen. Being from the UK we know the onsen routine and it always helps us have a relaxing time. There is an outside onsen as well and at night the pond below is lit up so when you are in the onsen it feels like you are in the pond itself. The next morning when we went again, we both saw a red squirrel. The male and female areas are separate which was interesting. We did not have breakfast or dinner here but we did walk around the lake in the morning which was so peaceful and calm, perfect for anyone wanting a break from the busy city. It is not luxury and there are no facial products or body lotion in the room but we did not mind. Being surrounded by nature made our time here, although short, really special.
