“Amazing camp!”

We loved everything about the property. The reserve is just on the edge of Etosha, very conveniently located and absolutely beautiful. Our house was beautifully decorated, with lots of thoughtful details. The amazing dinner and breakfast, and the game drives were also very nice. I wish we could stay there for longer, make sure you spend enough time there to fully enjoy it.

Top Lodge, Top Service

We loved our experience at Onguma. Because it has its own wildlife and it is on the doorstep of Etosha, it feels like it is an extention of the Etosha experience. The friendliness and care of the staff, the beautifull accommodation, the food and the wateringhole with loads of animals right next to the swimmingpool made it an awesome stay.

Lovely lodge in the forest in a private reserve which boarders Etosha. Very nice staff & good food. There is a water hole right by the restaurant area. A group of 5 elephants came to drink there while we were having breakfast which was amazing. We highly recommend the sundowner drive within the Onguma reserve. Our guide (Jason) was fantastic & very informative and we saw an elephant, lions and white rhinos. You get a lot closer to the animals than when you’re in Etosha and there are max 3 vehicles at any one place so it doesn’t feel too crowded.

The pictures of this place was beautiful, but the reality was better. We had 2 nights and 3 days here, and it exceeded our expectations. Food was great, view from lodge, room and service of the staff was amazing. We had 2 sundowner drives and one sunrise drive. Saw lots of animals, favourite was 2 big males roaring on a sunrise drive and 2 lionesses hunting on a sundowner drive. All drives we had was with other people, which just added to the fun. Since we wanted to go back with our families/kids next time in Namibia, we asked to see th Bush Camp as well. They obliged and got a guided tour of the camp and talk to the manager. Couldn`t ask for more and ended up eating lunch at the bush camp whick was also very beautiful. We had dik diks outside our bungalow many times and Go Away birds as well. Really enjoyed ourselves :)

The location is fantastic and close to the Etosha gate. Elizabeth was a great host all through our trip and the staff was very polite and courteous. The waterhole is amazing with a variety of animals coming over during the day.

Friendly staff, good service. Relaxing stay. Dinner is delicious. We saw four lions and three pairs of baby and mama giraffes during our morning game drive.

Stunning setting, close to Namutoni in private game reserve. Beautifully spacious and comfortable rooms tastefully decorated with the outsides blending in perfectly with surroundings.

Lovely location in the forest with lots of birdlife and animals such as kudu at the waterhole. The beautiful open planned restaurant & bar overlooks the waterhole & there’s also a raised area for a campfire in the evening. Friendly and welcoming staff. Excellent food which was cooked on an open bbq by a campfire in the night we stayed.

Perfect location for Etosha national park. Set in its own private game reserve so lots to see. The watering hole fabulous with lots of visiting Kudu and zebra. The best part was the food! Amazing! 5*! Our waiter Kumolo (not sure of the spelling - sorry) was very attentive and his service was impeccable. Definitely will be back.

The chef's ability to prepare hot, flavourful food was excellent. Our Etosha trip was a short six days, and the food was far above the average meals at Halali and Dolomite, especially compared to Dolomite being a like-for-like facility. We loved the camp's layout around the waterhole and the shaded respite from the day's heat. The staff, especially Moses, was attentive and on point regarding hospitality. He was gentle and accommodating and always made sure we were comfortable. (Unlike the lack of hospitality we received at the other two establishments). We avid birders love seeing and experiencing the different bird life at Onguma Forest Camp.
