“Last minute cancellation from host”

Last minute cancellation on the day of arrival on 9:00 PM due to clogged bathroom. Left me in a bad situation with nearly no other options in Namur centre. Also, the common kitchen area was not clean and full of flies.

We lived in room 7, there was a large spacious terrace.

Quiet neighborhood and friendly staff. Good WiFi. possible to store my bicycle inside. shared kitchen is useful (two ovens, two sets of cooking stoves, big fridges available). Bed was comfy though

The location is great, near the train station. Self checkin is also easy and fluent. The kitchen is equipped with plentiful kitchenwares that is convenient.

“Decent accommodation for a Good Price”

Good price quality ratio. Good location. Warm shower and comfortable bed. Parking was easy and very close to accommodation. We were able to park next to accommodation easily twice. Check in and check out was easy. Our room was on first floor and we found the stairs okay and comfortable.

it is really worthy.low price, good room with nice public space where there are microwave , fridge , cup, plate, cooking utensils. crazy! even the bath products are from ritual！！！

All is nice , self check in , bed room big , 4 coffee/tea free by day , product of shower from a nice brand ( rituals ) really the best in Namur for this price

“fine for a really short stay”

+ Relatively close to the railway station + comfortable bed + it was good to have that common kitchen available (however it's not useful for much cooking, nor cozy)

The location was excellent and incredibly convenient! Being so centrally situated in Namur made exploring the city on foot an absolute breeze. Everything was within easy reach. It was just a short, pleasant walk to the train station (a huge plus for arrivals/departures!), the beautiful city centre with its shops and restaurants, and all the main historical sights like the Citadel and the River Meuse for a stroll. It genuinely enhanced our stay, as we spent less time travelling and more time enjoying Namur. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone who values a perfectly placed base for sightseeing!

Close to the center, clean, good shower, room was pretty big, had a coffeemaker, bed was good. Were lucky to get a parkingspot. Parking was cheap at only 3 Euro for a day. Easy to check in with the codes. The large shared kitchen is great!!

“Couldn’t Even Sleep Here. Had to Leave Immediately.”

This was, without exaggeration, the worst accommodation experience I’ve ever had. We arrived expecting a decent place to rest, but were instead greeted with a complete disaster. ❌ The room had a disgusting smell that hit us the moment we walked in — like mold, dust, and neglect all rolled into one. ❌ There was hair in the bed, clearly not cleaned or changed after previous guests. ❌ Weird stains on the floor and filthy walls made the place feel like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. ❌ The nightstand had ants crawling all over it, and there were spiders hanging out in the corners. ❌ One wall was literally moldy from water damage. ❌ Overall, it felt unhealthy, unsafe, and absolutely not as advertised. We didn’t even unpack. After 10 minutes of trying to come to terms with it, we decided we couldn’t possibly stay the night. We had to scramble to find another place to sleep, which cost us more money and a huge amount of stress. This place should not be listed on Booking.com at all. It was a complete scam in terms of photos vs. reality. Do yourself a favor — don’t book this place. You deserve better.

This is a zero-contact hotel, access was trouble free (codes and lock boxes). The bathroom looked like an amateur had installed it but worked fine. Everything was clean - the most important thing to me when using a hotel.

I've already stayed at Cauchy several times, and I will come back for short stays. In general, I like the place. Good location (train station, city centre, places of interest), affordable price (although the price can go up around 20-25eur on weekends), good room size (I've stayed in several rooms), spacious shared kitchen (very useful to avoid restaurant meals all the time)... However, there are things to improve...
