“Not just a hotel but an experience!”
The hotel is in a beautiful village in the mountains. The package included a fantastic dinner and breakfast as well as a spa bath (onsen) and a traditional dance session - we weren’t expecting any of this so it was a very pleasant surprise. The owners/staff were super friendly/helpful.

“Exceeded all my expectations! A must stay when you’re in Magome”
The owners/ staff were so friendly and even taught us an ancient samurai dance. Included in the price was a traditional dinner and breakfast which were 10/10. The house can be a bit chilly because it is over 100 years old but they will do anything to make you feel comfortable. We were lucky and got the one room which had a toilet included and the shared bathroom even has an onsen to enjoy. This stay is worth every yen! 100% would recommend and would instantly come again!

Everything about this ryokan was exceptional, the staff were wonderful and accomodated our dietary requirements at the last minute. The meals were excellent and the location is exceptional, it's right in the centre of town. Honesty this was one of the best ryokan experiences we have had in Japan.

“Certainly the most authentic Japanese accommodation we stayed in. And in the middle of historic Magome.”
It felt like an authentic local Ryokan even though all the customers were gaijin. Food was exceptional, both presentation, variety and flavours. Everything so shiny and clean. The singing and dancing lesson from the host was an extra bonus.
