“Best hotel on the entire island”

“Beautiful and convenient beachside location as a very comfortable base to explore the north.”

The buffet breakfast each morning was lovely and a great way to kick off each day of exploring. There were a number of restaurants/izakayas across the road from the hotel that were great to check out featuring local Okinawan cuisine. The 24 hour convenience store located in the base of the hotel meant that we could have a constant supply of snacks and drinks to take back to the room and enjoy the amazing views from the balcony. A car is needed to get the most out of staying here as it is well located as a launching point to explore the north of the island.

WiFi was poor

The location by the beach and the breakfast were amazing. Staff were super friendly and all spoke English very well.

My room was spacious with a beautiful view, the personal is friendly and I’d recommend to anyone to have the breakfast in the hotel. It has a wide variety of options and all of them delicious. I needed help calling to my rental car and the staff was willing to help me. Thank you!

The view is great as the hotel is next to the beach with the room facing the sea. There's also a FamilyMart right below the hotel. Many restaurants are nearby within walking distance.

Absolutely stunning view from this hotel looking out onto the beach - great location, the hotel room was extremely spacious with a bath & basic kitchen facilities. Overall I had a lovely stay & would recommend.

“Great place”

Great location, nice views, quiet and well maintained

I stayed in the new wing, room is spacious, clean and modern design . Best part is the fantastic full ocean view.

“Memorable”

Very good value for money. Superb breakfast in terms of quality, range and variability. The staff, particularly the breakfast staff, were excellent. When problems arose the staff responded very helpfully. The views from the room over the beach and bay were stunning. The room was large comfortable and quiet except for the waves lapping on the shore. Washing machines, microwaves and ice machines made life easier. The Family Mart next to the hotel was very useful and the izakaya (Shimaakari) opposite was memorable. So friendly and welcoming with great food. Walks along the beach and swimming were hugely enjoyable when the weather permitted (It was December). A visit to the nearby distillery was amazing for the generous tastings and free gifts of drinks given the fee of 500 Yen- but walk (25 minutes) or take a taxi! We enjoyed each and all of the 8 days we stayed at the hotel. Our thanks to the staff.

“Amazing bang for buck, book it and don’t look back!”

Such a fantastic location with good quality facilities and fine food (buffet breakfast). This was my favourite stop on our 5 week trip of Japan, 7 nights didn’t feel like enough here! Thanks Best Western, until next time.

From the moment we walked in, we could sense that smell — the unmistakable scent of an aged place, slightly musty and a bit fungal. Unfortunately, it was present everywhere, including our room. The room itself felt very dated, with furniture and decor that have clearly seen better days. The mattresses made noise with every move — that old sofa creak — which woke us up every time we turned during the night. Each room does have an ocean view, which is definitely a nice feature, maybe even the only real highlight. However, there isn’t really a beach — the strip of sand is very narrow, and I’m not sure how it looks during the peak season. Breakfast was just okay: a rather poor international selection but plenty of Japanese options (which were fine, though not our taste). The scrambled eggs were disappointing, and there was almost no bread available. Overall, there was nothing special about this hotel, especially compared to the one just across the street, where we stayed the previous night — that one was modern, fresh, and a world apart in terms of comfort and atmosphere.

We had a pleasant stay at this hotel in Okinawa. The location is quite convenient — a local bus stops right in front of the building, and there are several restaurants just across the street. There’s also a small minimart on the ground floor where you can buy snacks, drinks, and even some ready-made meals to heat up, which was very handy. The staff deserve a special mention — they were extremely friendly, polite, and always eager to help with anything we needed. The nearby beach is beautiful and easily accessible from the hotel, though it’s worth noting that sunbeds and umbrellas come at an extra charge, even for hotel guests. Our room was spacious and very clean. While the furniture and decor are a bit dated, like some other parts of the hotel, everything was well maintained and comfortable. Overall, a good choice for a relaxing stay with great service and convenient amenities.
