“Must experience!”

Absolutely loved this place. I wish everyone could experience this. I initially thought that there were other normal campers, but really it’s a dedicated glamping site! They had a shared kitchen with a dedicated sink for each tent and all the equipment you’ll ever need for cooking/camping. I loved that they even have coffee grinders, coffee drippers, and a pot you can hang over the top of the fire to heat water (though they have kettles too). Literally the best experience without the hassle of bringing your own camping equipment! There were plenty of toilets in the indoor building and super clean. Staff were super nice and helpful too. You can order food ingredients in advance so all you have to do is either heat it on the fire or cook it on the fire. So fun!! Would go back again!!

“Beautiful and cozy stay in the mountains”

I can't express enough how great the host was. Very helpful and caring. The place is fully stocked of everything you ever need while staying. It was incredibly cozy, clean and beautiful.

“Glamping Japanese style”

Amazing getaway in the middle of mountains and far from the big cities. The tents are very big and comfortable. The beds are great. What we loved the most was the attention to details with all the amenities provided. Bathrooms were clean and showers hot with great pressure. The food we ordered was plenty and delicious. The foot onsen was the cherry on the cake. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We ordered a taxi from the camp to Magome (7,000 yen) to get to the walk back to Nagiso station (10km, 4-5 hours) which we really enjoyed. Highly recommended.

“Perfect for mid Nakasendo hike stay!”

Facilities are all inclusive - they have everything you could need and more! Beautiful property and fantastic sized glamping tents (3-4 pax). There was a hibatchi grill to use and drinks for a small cost. It is also along the Nakasendo trail which was perfect for the middle of our hike. The main building is 90+ years old and in fantastic condition. Can’t wait to stay again.

One of my highlights in Japan, Got woken up by the monkeys having fruit off of the trees, was so epic! They also have food and drink options there that you can take advantage of, you don’t need to bring all your own stuff

Uniqueness of space and facilities. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Meal provided and facilities to cook with were so good. Bedding provided was warm and cozy as overnight was cold.

This was an incredible luxury camping experience. Our tent was huge and very comfortable. We had multiple heaters to keep us warm as we visited in late October. The location of the camp is amazing. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Having a warm foot bath while drinking a beer in the cool evening is a wonderful experience. Another useful aspect is that the Nakasendo trail passes directly through the camp, making it a very convenient spot to spend the night if you are walking the trail.

Very organised and peaceful camp to end our hike along the Nakasendo trail. The site had everything you could need for a comfortable stay.

Amazing location with amazing views and a relaxing atmosphere. Perfect destination for a lovely hike in the mountains/ Nakasendo trail. The tent had all you needed and was very cozy. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our dietary needs and made us feel at home. The food was so good too! And there was a lovely little kimono shop. We only stayed for one night, but would have stayed for more.
