“Lovey onsen break after Kumano Kodo”

The food here was very good. Buffet dinner and breakfast was the best we’ve had in a hotel in a long while. Lots of nice touches throughout the hotel - free massage chairs, manga corner, karaoke rooms, ice cream, drinks and desserts.

This was probably one of the best stays we had in Japan. Such a lovely place, but could really use a lesson in English especially on the signage! We had problems two diffent times during our stay because of wrong translations on information signs. One of them being the reason why we didn’t get to spend time in the onsen on the day we left because they put up the cleaning sign saying: currently unavailable due to cleaning, even though the cleaning didn’t start until more than an hour later.. Very disappointing since the onsen was the reason we went to this hotel…

“Relaxing authentic Japanese experience”

We stayed for 2 nights, family of 4 from Perth Australia with 2 kids 12 and 10. We stayed in family room 201 which was great. Large corner room suite with separate bedrooms, large lounge area, private outdoor bath with views of the ocean. Stay felt like a real Japanese experience: onsens, hot stone beds, massage chairs, karoke, ping pong room and Japanese robes to wear around the hotel. Included breakfast and dinner was very high quality and free drinks, alcohol, snacks and soft serve was nice. Not a lot of western tourists staying here which made it feel a bit more authentic. Stayed here at the end of our 2 week holiday and it was a nice change of pace from sight seeing in busy cities. Good location if you want to do some hiking of parts of the Kumano kodo. 3 hour train trip to Osaka airport for out flight home was easy.

“Perfect Stay!”

This hotel serves good food! Definitely recommended if you're looking for a staycation at a onsen resort. This place has pretty view over the sea and everything is kept clean and all well maintained. I regretted not spending another night here.

“Beautiful Refurbished Hotel”

The Hotel's lobby was refurbished and communal areas were beautiful. Loved the buffet, onsen, lounge, and views. Staff were nice.

there are 2 onsen all great. Beautiful ocean view room, big size room. You can pick bath robe by size, very considering. The buffet food is amazing . We loved everything here. Great value for the money.

The location is lovely, the Onsen was great, the buffet dinner and breakfast was awesome. We loved our stay, all the staff are so friendly and all the little extras such as drinks etc available between meals was a nice bonus.

Amazing room, comfortable tatami bed, amazing onsen, amazing buffet for both dinner and breakfast. Nothing to complain really! It concluded our Kumano Kodo hike perfectly.

Lovely modern facilities right on the water in Katsuura. Buffet restaurant meals for breakfast and dinner were excellent

“Wellness oasis”

This was fantastic! We had a Japanese room with a view over the bay and the mountains. It was so beautiful! The services at the hotel were exceptionel. We recommend the private onsen - it's such a pleasure! The breakfast and dinner offered a huge selection of great food. The hotel also provides free parking spaces. We would have loved to stay longer! We enjoyed every minute of our stay.

“Relaxing stay in Japan's biggest tuna port”

All windows and the balcony overlooked the bay of this small little fishing village. In the morning the tuna fishermen return from the sea to sell their tuna at the local auction and this is a really cool experience. The hotel has everything you wish for including several outdoor hot springs, all you can drink bars and different places to relax. We didn't know about the all you can eat and drink buffet but it was a nice surprise.

“Disappointed, misguided and overpriced”

Seemed fancy and value for what they were charging but rooms ended up being very old and daggy. I feel very misguided, thinking this was going to be a special stay for our honeymoon, ended up being very disappointing for how much we paid. And then we had to pay to Onsen on top!! Crazy expensive
