Great location, easy communication and very quick self check in. Gives the sense of home! Very helpful owner, was so kind to bring us our luggage at the station because we were very short for time. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

LOVED the accommodation, its such a cute japanese home. It was a spacious accommodation. Everything was spotless clean, fully equipped kitchen for cooking (though we didnt cook). Very comfy futon beds with heating throughout to keep us warm. Great location, short walk to the train station, shops and the port. Last but not least, Maru's hospitality was exceptional! Very very helpful and responsive, made dinner reservation for us (much needed delicious dinner after kumano kodo) and even offered to bring our luggage to the train station, very grateful for the accommodation and Maru's warm welcome.

Such a cozy place, not too far away from the station. Great host and interesting guestbooks, lots of great memories for the 1st day!

The host was very friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations and answering our questions. The home is large, clean and clean comfortable a short walk from the train station and harbour. Great value.

Good facilities, very cute traditional style living room. Loved the chair in the living room. Maru was very accommodating, held my luggage past check out time so I could explore Nachi Falls freely. Also brought my luggage to the station right before my train. Also brought some cherries from their farm for me to try, which was so sweet.

All was perfect Maru was a really nice person that helped us in everything. The place is beautiful and confortable, have a really big kitchen, big room and the futon was very confortable. Even they helped us to carry our bags from the station and pick up us when the train was late. I am so greatful of this stay.

MaruHouse was our favorite accommodation during our Kumano Kodo trip. Check-in was smooth, and Maru was kind enough to pick up our bags from the station so we didn't have to walk the trail with all our stuff (turned out to be a great call since it rained a lot later in the day). The location is very convenient as it is a short walk from Kii-Katsuura station. The bath was great - equipped with hot water - perfect after a long day of walking. We were also really pleased to find a kotatsu in the common area. We cooked some of our meals, and the kitchen was well equipped and easy to use. The beds were clean and comfortable. We wish we could have stayed longer - it was a very nice and well kept house!

A mixt of a confortable japanese/western style accommodation in a quiet district with everything that can be needed from washing machine to whatever you might think of.

Maru House is cozy and comfortable. It is conveniently located, just a 15-minute walk from the fish market and a 10-minute walk from the railway station. Most importantly, Maru is incredibly kind and helped us a lot during our stay. We will definitely recommend Maru House to our family and friends.

An absolutely perfect stay! Our host was incredibly friendly and helpful. The house itself is so comfortable - we slept incredibly well. Laundry was great and helpful to have midway through our Japan trip. Don't hesitate to stay! Everything from the house, location, sleeping arrangements, host, etc. were perfect!

The house itself is big, has a nice common space with the kotatsu and big kitchen. Nice clean bathroom and washing/drying machine. The city is very walkable and has stuff around it. We actually decided to extend from 1 night to 2. They offered a lot of towels and had a covered parking spot.

A very well equipped home, perfect stay for our family at the end of our hike. Maru was very helpful and kind, even offering to help with transport to the station.
