A lovely place, slightly off the main road, with clean and comfortable rooms. The shared kitchen is large and very convenient. The surroundings are quiet and remote, creating a peaceful atmosphere. We saw the most beautiful Northern Lights of our trip here.

Isolation and beautiful setting. Easy to get to East side of Dettisfoss waterfall.

The houses are located in the middle of nowhere in the best way possible. We had a cottage that was part of the long row of cottages. The view was amazing, towards the river, with geese and baby geese visiting us from the river. The room was surprisingly big, it looked really good, the bed was extremely confortable. The bathroom was very nice as well and it even had a bottle of lotion. The highlight was the heated floors which made the stay extremely pleasant. The kitchen in the common area was in a different building, so there was no noise from it. The kitchen was very well equipped, it had everything you might need. Overall, the attention to details in such a remote place was highly appreciated.

acctually i love the place even though it was little far for me.. its new hotel, its quite and very clean beside they offer almost everthing for you. they have big & clean kitchen so yo can cook your food.

“Good for Ring road "drivers"”

If you follow an instruction of owner about location, then there is no problem to find. First you drive to Grimstunga for key (very easy to find on Google map) and that you continues for 7 km to your room. Room is spacious, bright and with terrasse. Kitchen has well equipment. Location is overall good, very close to ring road and close to Detifoss waterfall (east).

The place has two parts, one completely new and older, both were great. The shower was great and the rooms nice and clean

they provided us with a fully equipped common kitchen with some free breakfast options like cereal. parking was free.

The remotnes, surrounding, accomodation was fantastic. The kitchen is great, all you could ever ask for.
