Overview
Set on Lake Myvatn’s northern shore, this property is 5 minutes’ drive from Myvatn Nature Baths. On-site facilities include a communal kitchen, small convenience store and bicycle rental. Spread over 3 buildings, the simply furnished rooms at Hlid Bed and Breakfast all have a private bathroom with a shower. Guests can enjoy a daily breakfast buffet and BBQ equipment at Hlid B&B. A laundry room is also available. Staff arranges Icelandic horseback riding tours in the surroundings. The village of Reykjahlid, with restaurants, cafés and bars, is 1 km away. Area activities include hiking and Krossdalur Golf Course, just 500 metres from the B&B.

“Cozy room with great view, great value for price.”
The room is quite cozy and very clean. We stayed for two nights, and got struck by the beauty of the setting sun streaming into the room.

“Great spot with the best breakfast”
When we think about the 7 locations we stayed at on our Iceland trip, this one is the top one for breakfast for sure. Great selection and there was a staff person in the breakfast room there to make sure our croissants were warm and everything was available. The room was pretty good. A bit small, but we still had room to lay out 2 suitcases and we were excited to have our own bathroom. We couldn't hear the neighbours at all which was is always nice for sleeping. We had what was called the "garden view". I'm not sure what that really meant because there was no garden. The windows are frosted anyway so it's not like we could see and it really wasn't a big deal. The location was great along our ring road tour.

The location is very close by all of the attractions in Myvatn area. We saw the Northern Lights from outside of our cabin! It was an amazing experience! Friendly staff and good breakfast.
