Hotel Byzantion is located down the road to the Byzantine town of Mistras, a short drive from the Archaeological Site. It features rooms with spectacular views of ancient Mistras and Mount Taygetos. “Loved our stay at Byzantion”
Right near the main square, close to the local tavernas with views up the Ancient Mystras. Parking behind the hotel was convenient and the pool was nice. Breakfast was superb. Only a short drive away from Ancient Mystras, clean room, good wifi - we were happy. There was even a tiny lift to get our suitcases up to our floor!

Superbly located, modest hotel with views directly onto the archaeological site of Mystras. The hotel is right on the central square, with several cafes and restaurants located right on the doorstep. A good base for exploring Mystras.

“Central and comfy”
The location was perfect, right in the center of Mystras. The room was small but fine for a few days and the bed and pillows were so comfortable. There was a good choice of goodies for breakfast.

“Such a pleasant stay!”
We had a really lovely stay at this hotel. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful — we arrived late in the evening and had no problem checking in. Later that night my friend accidentally cut her eyebrow, and the man at the reception immediately helped her clean and dress the wound. They also easily added breakfast to our booking although we had not booked it before and stored our luggage after check-out. The room was clean, comfortable, and everything felt well taken care of. There was a great variety at breakfast — eggs, bread, cheese, ham, fresh fruit, yogurt, jam, oat flakes, cakes, cereales, juice, coffee, tea, and more. I tried quite a lot of it and everything was fresh and tasty. Honestly, I don’t understand the bad reviews about breakfast, because it was really good and nicely prepared!
