Overview
Built in 1932, Archontiko is a traditional property located in the centre of Anavriti Village, at an altitude of 900 metres. It offers traditionally decorated rooms with a balcony overlooking the surrounding area. Marie and Giorgios are absolutely lovely hosts. The food (breakfast and dinner) is totally delicious (to mention the cake and kleftiko - both home-made). The view from the dining room is marvellous. The historic rooms and facilities are spotlessly clean. In sum: a total recommendation.

A magnificent location and despite a winding road up it was worth the trip. Very few people use the road up from Sparta so if you take your time you will be fine.

The view is amazing, the house and terraces are so beautiful. Mary and Giorgos are lovely hosts and the food is delicious. Mary cooks typical Greek food with so much love. George plays the Bouzouki like a master. Thanks for having us. We will come back!

An incredibly friendly and refined hotel in what used to be the most luxurious house in this mountain village. All visitors are received with incredible friendliness and hospitality!!! I have never seen something so close to "perfect" , in my more than 20 trips to Greece.

“Fantastic stay In Archontiko!”
An incredible place, in a beautiful mountain scenery. Marie and George made us feel welcome from the first minute we arrived. Great authentic rooms. Marie is a fantastic cook. George is a mountain guide who knows every rock in the area and animates his guests with his Bousouki during diner.

“A piece of heaven in the Peleponese”
This is a piece of heaven George & Maria give customer service like nothing else Tea and cake arrival, brilliant dinner ( you must stay for dinner) and lovely breakfast George serenaded us with his lute/ guitar playing and sang to us all The mountains are magical and you feel like you've stepped back in time
