The on the beach proximity and ample parking for our purpose I rate A+. The 2 br suite was decent sized. Even though we didn't use the guest coin op washer and dryer, I see this as a plus for the beach traffickers. The pool was fun for the grandkids as surf at beach was a little rough at times. The AC and kitchen appliances worked well. Small touches like the roll of paper towels and dish soap were useful. No sign of any bedbugs or critter infestation in the suite. Phew!! Free WiFi and TV in each room made the kid's day!

Room was not bad for the price. And the fact that is literally right next to the beach is awesome. The pool is great too! Easy check in and check out! Will be back for sure!

It was super convinient and nice. The hotel was clean and comfy. Check in was simple, easy, and effortless. No one really bothers you. The beach was clean and was not as packed as other areas. A true gem.

“Great location horrible parking”
Location was amazing and access to the beach was right on the property. Room was clean and well prepared. Wasn’t noisy at all. The pool was outdoor but was still enjoyable. Everything was in close proximity.

After I drive 4 1/2 hrs and arrived to register at the hotel- I was informed that my reservation had been canceled. When I asked who canceled it- they told me they thought it was who I booked it through. I had worked ALL day and was tired! Then in had to find another hotel quick and at the last minute which was 20 minutes from the beach-AND the cost was double which I did not expect to have to pay!! I don't think I'll ever hook though booking.com, AND I WILL CERTAINLY NEVER STAY AT THE Mermaid Inn!

“Awful will not return”
Family owned but housekeeping didn't speak English and walk in without knocking or announcing themselves seen my husband naked and walked out. I was coming back to the room and seen it happen. I asked if they normally just walk right in and the 3 of them shook their heads yes. I complained to owner she said sorry they don't speak English. I told her I don't care what language they speak they need to learn how to read a clock and they wouldn't walk in on guest before check out. Also woke to construction tools saws and all demo was being done in the room next door!!!! Gotta love waking up to a hammer pounding on the wall
