We had a wonderful stay at Gorgona. The owner is an incredibly kind and welcoming man who always greeted us with a smile and made us feel truly at home. The housekeeping staff were also very friendly, cheerful and hardworking. The location is perfect with breathtaking views of the sea and Mylopotas Beach. The terrace is absolutely lovely, a perfect place to relax and enjoy the scenery. The room and bathroom were very clean and everything was well maintained. The atmosphere was cozy, peaceful and welcoming throughout our stay.

We stayed at Hotel Gorgona in Ios looking for a simple and authentic Greek experience, and it turned out to be beyond our expectations. The property has an excellent location, with terraces overlooking the beautiful Mylopotas beach – a view worth the trip on its own. Just a few steps from our room we had everything we could ask for: the best fish taverna on the island, boat tours, great beach clubs, and the bus stop to the port and Chora. Everything was within walking distance, peaceful and stress-free. Breakfast was another highlight, with simple but high-quality products that made every morning enjoyable. Most of all, Margherita and the owner Dimitri were incredibly welcoming and hospitable, making us feel at home from the very first moment. If you are looking for a genuine, simple, and relaxing stay in the true Greek atmosphere, Hotel Gorgona is the perfect choice.

Staying here was very special. The Hotel is on a beautiful , long, beach with all the colour blues you can imagine in the water. Lovely for swimming and snorkelling and walking. I came with two teenagers and they loved the time in the water under the sun. Watersports right there if you wanted it and a lovely seafood restaurant nearby. At midday when it is best to stay out of the sun we relaxed in the dining area/ lounge or outside under umbrellas playing cards and enjoying the sea breeze. All just bliss. Beautiful breakfast, one can sit inside overlooking the ocean or outside and soak up the view. Dimitri and his staff are so friendly and kind, genuinely caring from the heart, one feels so welcome . I will hold this experience close in the coming months when I am back at work. I totally recommend this Hotel if you want to relax in Ios and if you like the sun and the blue ocean and warm-hearted people.

The hotel has beautiful, authentic Greek architecture. I especially loved the spacious balcony. The hotel is right near the beach, which makes it convenient for a relaxing stay.

Lovely setting over the wonderful Mylopotas beach and above the legendary Drakos Taverna. The room was pretty and rustic and whitewashed and just perfect. The hosts are wonderful and Margaret made us feel so welcome. We would have stayed for longer but it was fully booked.

The best-located hotel on Mylopotas Beach, enchanting with its character, traditionally styled rooms, cleanliness, and sea views from every room. Right next to the hotel, there is a bus stop and a parking area where you can leave your rental car. Breakfast includes local specialties, and guests are welcomed by the owner, Mr. Dimitris. You are bound to fall in love with this place.

We've traveled to many corners of the world – and certainly throughout Greece – but Hotel Gorgona has a unique, unforgettable spirit. That spirit comes straight from Dimitris, who pours his heart and soul into the hotel. You can feel it in the lovingly preserved traditional interiors – from the charming curtains to the authentic décor – everything reflects the real, timeless Greece. This isn’t the type of place where you’ll find Nespresso machines, designer toiletries, private plunge pools, or branded beach towels in fancy hotel bags. But that's exactly the greek charm – instead, you get a spotlessly clean, romantic, traditional, and absolutely enchanting atmosphere that touches your heart. The rocks behind the hotel and the sea in front of it are breathtaking. The breakfast room is another delight – a picturesque space with beautiful windows that left us speechless every morning. Right outside the hotel, apart from the sea and a charming little fishermen’s taverna, there’s also a very convenient bus stop. Buses run frequently and take you across the island, including to the capital, Chora. We loved everything about the Gorgona. Location, management, team, cleanliness. We felt like home. It was one of the best holidays. So relaxing and comfortable. “Great property, views and truly lovely owners”

We had a really nice stay at Gorgona! The hotel is in a great location, the room is very nice and the hotel has a great view of the sea: but the best thing about our time at Gorgona was the absolutely lovely family managing the hotel. Breakfast was also really fantastic. 100% would stay here again.

The place looks exactly as the pictures. You just go down the stairs and the beach is right there. The room has everything you might need, its nice and clean and super comfortable to hang out in the terrace. The bus from the port drops you off right at the entrance!
