Overview
This attractive rural hotel is located on Playa de Lago Beach in the heart of the Costa da Morte. Set in pretty gardens, it offers a terrace, cosy rooms with beach views and a free Wi-Fi zone. Hotel Playa de Lago’s pleasant rooms feature pastel colours and most have a terrace. All include a TV, a desk and a private bathroom with hairdryer. The rooms are heated and come with a safety deposit box. A buffet breakfast is offered and the restaurant serves traditional, regional cuisine and homemade desserts with local produce. There is also a bar and a children’s playground. Tourist information is available and hiking is popular nearby. San Martin and its Romanic church are 4km away and Camariñas, with its Vilán Lighthouse and English Cemetery, is 30 minutes’ drive away. The Playa de Lago is in The Lighthouse Way, 9 km from Muxia. Santiago de Compostela and A Coruña are within 1 hour's drive. Free private parking is available onsite.

“I fell in love with this place and I want to spend my next holiday here, in the best room with a beautiful view.”
Hotel Magnificent is located in a fantastic place. This was my best holiday in Spain. The staff was wonderful and very friendly. Everything was perfectly clean, and the room was cleaned every day. It’s a place I would love to return to again. Thank you!🙏 The hotel has a wonderful restaurant. The food is very delicious, everything is beautiful, and it’s a place I would love to return to.

The location is bordering perfection, just in front of the beach, just behind the pine trees line. The whole hotel was spotless clean, very tidy, and the team was quite welcoming. Good food with a fair enough price.

Absolute beachfront. Family business run by Alejandro, Eva and Marisol. Perfect spot to explore the region. Quiet and tranquil, super clean with excellent food.

The hotel is located right next to the beach. If you are looking for a vacation in peace and quiet place without many people, then this is the right place for you. Ideal if you have just walked Camino de Santiago. The owner Alejandro and his daughter Eva are very kind and ready to help at any time. Breakfast is delicious, also the food in the restaurant is very good.

“A lovely place to stay in a great location.”
The room was exceptional with a sea view balcony and across the road from a sandy beach. The seafood was very well presented and delicious. A very comfortable bar/terrace where a very good breakfast was served. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Breakfast and restaurant were both great. It’s a beautiful location, quiet setting, nice way to relax after walking a camino. I did think it was in town but it’s out of town —across the bay. A wonderful setting! Muxia is beautiful coastal setting.

“Like Paradise - the hotel and the location.”
The self service buffet breakfast was excellent. The location of the hotel is just about on the beach, and I could hear the sea from my bedroom window at night. The hotel is scrupulously clean. The staff and management are attentive, friendly and helpful. I considered it to be excellent value for money.

“Great location for exploring the area”
The location is very good by the beach but also close to places of interest like Santiago or Costa da Motre. I recommend exploring the coast by car as it's stunning.
