Location Would be great for family get together to use all space

Great location and very friendly staff. There were many shared facilities available included equipment for water activities an steam room. The garden was big, comfortable, and had a great view of the water. We only stayed there for one night but really enjoyed it, and the bed was very comfortable.

Peaceful, comfy room & the owners provided everything I requested. Prices are high all over NS, so this was in line with the season. Fridge & coffee maker provided & they added a kettle & microwave at my request. I would highly recommend this motel

“Relax on Southern Shores”

Very nice situated on the sea, good watersport oportunities (kayaky and equipment provided by accomodation). Very peaceful environment between forest and sea; sometimes seals are coming very close when hunting . Great garden with shady trees. Kitchen very well equipped with cutlery and crockery, lot of coffee options. Nice furniture.Fast WiFi. Sauna (both steam and classical dry) is a bonus when the evenings are becoming cooler. Elizabeth was a wonderful host, thank you again. 45 minutes from Halifax airport (do NOT drive through busy Halifax Metropolitan Area as recommend by most navigation systems; take the relaxed 357/212 by Elderbank. 15 Minutes to Martinique beach, 10 Minutes or less to the next shopping qpportunities. Wonderful surrounding, just get your car and explore the hidden coves and beaches of Southern Shore.

It's like having a luxury hotel room in a shared home. Rather then walking out into a meaningless corridor in a hotel you walk out into an amazing home, shared with the other guests. Seating area, dining room, kitchen, games room, sun room, garden. It's all there! Great to have a lot of flexibility. A few comments suggest it's a bad thing to make your own breakfast but we liked it a lot. The selection of breakfast goods is amazing and of good quality, you can eat relaxed, extent your breakfast, change your mind, have something extra, the flexibility it provides was for us real freedom and added to the experience. We had a very light breakfast before going out in the kayaks directly from the garden (free of charge!) and then had a hearthy 'second breakfast' after coming back. :) We had nice chats with the other guests and the host was really nice as well. If you book this house with a group of friends or family for a bit longer stay you won't be dissapointed!

“Restful, peaceful, uplifting.”

Loved my stay here in the beautiful KISH suite and met some wonderful people who were also staying at the guest house. The communal breakfast table / kitchen is a wonderful idea and the owners kindly allow guests to help themselves to food whenever they feel peckish. In the evening we shared the hot tub and chatted for ages in the warm water, continuing the next morning at the huge dining table, also pulling some newly-arrived guests into our conversation and learning so much about each other! We really did leave as friends. Next time, we'll have to say longer, so we can go kayaking and explore the shoreline a bit. This time, there was too little time.

Nice location (Martinique Beach is super nice). Hot tub, sauna, small private pier. Common kitchen with utensils and appliances.

“Wonderful guest house for a long weekend with friends or family”

We mainly chose this guest house as we were looking for a place to stay within an hours drive from Halifax airport, there's not that many places. It is a great place for a weekend away with family and friends, it's quite big, with a well equipped kitchen and a spacious dining area and living room, right on the lake with the possibility for watersports. If we lived closer we would definitely come back for a long weekend. If you stay longer and use the whole offer the price is definitely more justified than when you only stay for a stop over.

We have never spent time at a place with more facilities than this place. There was a hot tub, sauna and steam room as well as a pool table. The location was also superb.
