We really loved our stay at La Ca Veja! The host, Renata is really lovely and uncomplicated. We also ate dinner there twice and it was delicious.

Beautiful old building in a stunning location - very quiet and lots of birdsong, but close to villages and towns. Owner was very friendly and quick to respond to messages - we easily communicated using Google translate. The balcony was lovely and shady.

“Nothing short of Heavenly. Truly a haven of peace and tranquility.”
Every single thing. The food is delicious, the choice of breakfast ample and abundant. The farmhouse is as lovely inside as it looks outside, immaculately clean. Full of family heirlooms that have been handed down through the generations, like the antique high chair and footrest in front of the fireplace. The rooms are very spacious and our bathroom was huge. Even the bed linen and towels are hand embroidered. How lovely to think they were once part of perhaps a great-great grandmother’s dowry, made with love and pride, and now generously shared with guests, instead of wasting away, forgotten in a trunk.
