There was soooo much to like about this property. The location is exceptional, breathtaking views of muri and all the motu with the lagoon right on your doorstep. Everything you need is nearby, you really are spoilt for choice and can easily spend your whole vacation just in Muri alone. We were greeted by manager Lawrence, who made sure we were well looked after. There were fresh flowers placed all around our villa, as well as a few treats for us such as fresh bananas, papayas, weetbix, wine and apple juice. If you love animals you’ll enjoy the comfort of Luna (Sokala’s 18 year old cat) she was absolutely beautiful but will easily leave you alone if you are not keen on animals. We also made friends with ‘Becky’ the juvenile Chicken who cuddled up for cuddles and visited every morning. It really is a home away from home. Our villa was the only one without a pool but Lawrence let us use the other villa pools if they were vacant, which we most definitely utilised. Being able to sleep with the sound of the waves crashing on the reef, star/moon gazing from the bed, was a treat. The whole villa had protective screens so we kept all the windows and doors open the whole time.

Right on the edge of the lagoon with an amazing view across to the picturesque lagoon islands. We were upgraded to a villa with a pool so although poor weather meant we didn’t get to use it much it was generous of management to do this. Well equiped for self catering. Clean and comfortable.

Staff were great and even helped with our bags and saw us off at 12:30am. Location was great if food, water sports and relaxing is your thing.

it's absolutely stunning place with little private white sand beach. it's a true gem! next to best juice and coffee place and two great restaurants. Villa is stunning 🤩 with everything you need if you solo traveler or a couple. and it adults only which is great 😃👍 owners we go far and beyond to accommodate you! I will be back it will be my place to go anytime I will go to Rarotonga! also price is great it's a great value for money! and have a mention that you have you private pool in every villa! 💟

We had an incredible time at Sokala Villas. The villa was spotless, spacious, and offered stunning beachfront view. It’s located in the best part of Muri, which we felt was not only the highlight of the area but pretty much the best part of Rarotonga. Lawrence was fantastic; he welcomed us with great information and useful tips about the island. He’s a genuinely nice person and made the place feel more like staying with friends than just a regular accommodation. We stayed for four nights and honestly wish we could have stayed longer. Everything about the experience was fantastic. We’ll definitely be back and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Sokala Villas to anyone planning a trip to Rarotonga.

This accomodation is perfect. It has the quaint charm of the Cook Islands, but feels special as it is spacious with high ceilings, dark wooden interiors and the best views on the island of Muri beach. It is in a good location to popular activities - including the night markets, a culture show, and there are grocery stores and restaurants surrounding it. It was private and the hosts were warm, inviting and informative. We felt like we got to stay in a local’s beautiful home for 8 nights - my boyfriend and I didn’t want to leave.

Our first time visiting Rarotonga, we would definitely return here again. Greeted on arrival by our lovely host, the Villas thought of everything from books to borrow to kayaks and reef shoes. Ideal location, quiet, but a short walk to convenience stores, a bakery, and multiple restaurants and cafes. Loved having the use of a full kitchen as well.

The location, at Muri lagoon, was stunning and I was so pleased with my choice of Sokala Villas! Our beachfront villa with a pool was well appointed and felt so tropical. There were lovely touches of flowers, fruit, and a special treat for my big birthday. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful about absolutely everything. The villa was so close to restaurants, resorts, shops and bike/car hire.

Really appreciated Lawrence staying up late to wait for our arrival, his friendliness and very helpful with a trolley for our bags. Our villa was at the end of the path from the carparking area.

Beautiful, private villa. Very comfortable. Good shower. Lots of deck space to enjoy the sun. Fresh fruit and flowers in our room on arrival. Great host who was very helpful with local knowledge. Good bakery, coffee, restaurants nearby. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
