“Lovely relaxed escape away from the hordes of Venice”

What a lovely place to spend some down time. Usually when we visit Venice we spend time at a hotel somewhere in Venice, with all its fascinations and business. This time, as we’d decided on a longer visit, we thought we’d go for somewhere where we’d be able to relax too. Cass Sulla Laguna was the perfect place. We had one of the rooms with a terrace overlooking the laguna. The room was perfect. Lovely bed. Good bathroom. Kettle and coffee maker. It was really comfortable. The terrace was gorgeous. It looks out across the laguna towards the Lido to the left and across to Venezia to the right. A lovely table to take time enjoying the laguna with pretty regular boats going past. We bought our brandy and enjoyed our evenings here. Just brilliant. Murano gets very quiet after about 5pm when all the visitors to the furnaces have left. The coop is great for nice cheap Prosecco and other bits. There’s a lovely restaurant along the Fondamenta just near the bridge that is excellent. The hosts were very helpful - from their advice on getting there to recommendations on eating and travel. Pino was super helpful. (My best tip was using app ‘Che Bateo?’ Great app that lets you know what Vaporetti you bend to go where, with timings and everything). Great place, lovely people. I think we’ll visit here again.

The location was perfect, so quiet and peaceful with a view over the lagoon. And so close to the vaporetto stop. Our host Pino was warm and welcoming and he gave us lots of local info. The garden was a beautiful place to rest and relax and contemplate. Definitely somewhere to go back to.

The man (I'm afraid we didn't get his name) on reception was a delight. Very kind and thoughtful and he helped us get settled in, called to make a reservation to a locals restaurant for us and just generally was great! The room was comfy and clean and everything we needed. The BALCONY! We loved it!! Sitting out there with a morning cup of tea in the peace and quiet overlooking the water was honestly so wonderful. So much so that we opted to potter into Murano to find a few bits for lunch (focaccia, salad, cheese, charcuterie, olive oil, wine, strawberries etc.) and we sat on the balcony enjoying our lunch there with a cold glass of wine. Perfecto!!

Peaceful room beautifully decorated with windows looking out towards Venice across the lagoon . It’s the last house before the lagoon and a few steps from the nearest vaporetto stop. I would love to stay longer another time . Loved the old style fridge , the little table set for breakfast before the windows . Everything delightful altogether abd so diffeeent from staying in the middle of Venice where I had been for a week before

Incredible location which you can access with a number of water buses! The hotel is in a tranquil location. The very friendly owner checked us in and gave us lots of information. You can pay €5 euros for a croissant and coffee in the garden. The room had an amazing view and was very clean and comfortable.

The staff were helpful and friendly. Being next to the water was amazing.

Exceptional location, right on the water’s edge, with a good bed and shower. Tea and coffee facilities in the room with a small fridge was also excellent. Hosts, Pino and Antonia were fantastic, they always tried to ensure your needs were met. Pino had good English and his local knowledge helped considerably with our ability to navigate and use the public ferry system. We arrived in the rain and they organised the drying of our clothes at no cost.
