While traveling through northern Spain, we stayed in many hotels, but Hotel Araize was definitely the best! The surrounding nature is beautiful, with a lovely river nearby. The rooms are very clean, there’s a wonderful balcony, and the beds are extremely comfortable — both the main one and the extra bed for our child. The breakfasts were excellent, and the tomatoes they grow here are the tastiest we’ve ever had in our lives! The kitchen is fully equipped if you want to cook your own meals. The hosts are incredibly friendly and caring, always ready to give advice on what to see and where to go — we’re very grateful to them. We will definitely come back!!!

Txomin was so friendly and kind! He showed us our accommodation, watched our daughter so we could pack our things for the day, and let us eat as many of his delicious tomatoes as we wanted! Eating with the other guests in the morning was so nice. Everyone was friendly and the indoor/outdoor space was gorgeous. We hope to come back one day for sure! Best place we stayed in Spain in 2 weeks hands down!

“Great value for money, amazing service”
Best value for money place I have ever stayed. The staff made us feel great (including our dog that was treated like a regular human client) and the whole stay I felt like a guest at a friend's house, not a visitor. Perfect location to enjoy the basque country, not only bilbao, but also the surrouding villages such as Mundaka and Bermeo.

“Top!”
The host was simply heart-warming! We were received with tremendous hospitality and my dog was treated as a full guest! The house had been recently renovated and everything seemed very new. A well-equipped kitchen that you could use yourself at will. Breakfast was homely, sufficient and always provided with the home-grown delicious tomatoes! Nice garden and terrace for socialising. A small river in the garden, in which my water dog had a great time! Very quiet area, yet at very reasonable distances to very nice places by the sea for walking (Bermeo, Bakio, Punta Galileo,... ) or to visit Bilbao! I had an ideal stay!!! thank you Txomin!!!
