Friendly chatty host also as knowledgeable guide on the private tour, a pleasant stay. Nice little garden, well kept.

Fab location close to the centre. Rooms were basic but comfortable. The shower was the best I have had on this trip. The host - Kong - was so friendly and his tour to the Plain of Jars was fascinating.

Amazing place! Especially the owner Kong made our stay wonderful. He is a very knowledgeable and fun guide, so make sure to book a tour with him if you want some really good insights on the Plain of Jars. Besides being a great tour guide he was also a very helpful and kind host. The rooms were good and there were nice tables in the garden to sit, as well as a nice garden and common space. It is also walking distance from all the restaurants and cafes.

“THE place to stay in Phonsavan”

Kong is the highlight of this place, he took us on a tour to see the plain of jars and the secret war museum, he speaks very good English and explains everything very well. The guesthouse is well located in relation to restaurants and the town. The rooms have everything they need: a fan, a working hot water shower, toiletries and extra blankets for the bed. We arrived at 1am after a long bus journey and we were still able to get into the room. The social area is very nice for relaxing with a beer and tea and coffee is provided. Thank you very much for an amazing stay.

“Quiet guesthouse close to the main road”

The guesthouse is situated a bit away from the main road and it's nicely arranged, featuring also a community area, where you can sit and relax.

Kongkeo guesthouse was very clean and had very good facilities including comfy bed, mosquito net and hot shower. Also a very nice communal area with a fire and hot drinks. Kong was an amazing host!! We went on a day tour of the Plain of Jars sites and Kong knew everything and took the best photos for us. He also took us to book a bus and arranged a tuktuk to get us. Thank you so much for our stay!

Kong and his wife were terrific! Plants in pots in the garden, a nightly fire in bomb casings...created a special atmosphere for a backpacker style hostel. We had a basic twin room with own shower, toilet. We did 2 day tours with Kong and learned so much about Laos history. Recommend for inexpensive, basic stay. Restaurants are close by ( 2 to 5 minutes walk) as Kongkeo does not have meals.

This place is awesome! Great location, good fire pit, excellent staff, beautiful garden and local information! For a 1 star place the rooms are excellent, Kong knows everything about the area and places to see, my best stay in Laos so far easy 100% Scooter rental’s also
