The owners are lovely, they make sure you are having a good time. The hammocks on the balcony are lovely. Great huge breakfast with lots of choice.

Beautiful place with beautiful views in great location. Spacious, clean cabin. Affordable, definitely worth its price. Complimentary good breakfast, available all day: drinking water, tea, coffee. Warm shower with good water pressure. Very friendly owners.

“Beautiful stay”

We really enjoyed our stay at SuanPhao! The room was big and spacious, and the bathroom was as well. Everything was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff is very friendly, and since breakfast is included and they ask you the day before what you would like, it somehow feels a bit like being in a family. The terrace is a great place to chill, relax, and have a drink while enjoying the stunning view. The breakfast is delicious. One of the best stays we’ve had in Asia so far!

The owner Joy was great and gave us tips on what to do around town. Location was nice, easy to get to everything. Breakfast did the job. Cheap laundry service.

The location is ideal, almost at the end of the street and down a small alley by the river so it's super quiet. The couple of owners are the most adorable people and they made a delicious breakfast. The room was nice with a little private terrace up front. Or there is the large common one overlooking the river

Excellent personable service from lovely Mr Joy! He made us feel very welcome and cared for. Breakfast was included and customisable. We had a lovely stay.

Joy has been the best host we’ve had Laos. He’s a really fun and friendly guy. The breakfasts were also excellent - made to order, very large quantities and delicious. There is a lovely relaxed vibe and staying here was just a lovely experience.

Joy and his wife are really nice and very welcoming Confort is basic but in line with what we paid for. Bathroom and room need some refreshment but the location is quiet except the roosters

“Best place to stay in Muong Ngoi”

Best place to stay in Muong Ngoi. We stayed here 12 years ago and it was the highlight of our trip then, it has'nt changed, nor has the charismatic landlord Dr Joi and his lovely, hard-working wife. If you are lucky enough to be able to spend time here, stay at SuanPhao and go "slowly, slowly".

The owners were both very welcoming and friendly..the setting is beautiful.. although the cabins are basic, the bed and bedding was comfortable. The hammocks on the porch was the perfect way to relax after several weeks of on-the-go travelling. Good breakfast served. ☺️

The host is a nice, sociable man. He speaks English, too. The breakfast was very nice.

Great location, towards the end of "main street". Quiet, yet close to several restaurants and at easy walking distance from the boat landing. My bungalow had its own balcony, with a lovely view over the Nam Ou valley. Mr. Joy is a very welcoming host. Breakfast was tasty and filling.
