A very special place where you wake up surrounded by animals. Luxuary tents. Very friendly staff. Exellent food in a beautiful restaurant building. A perfect place for safaris in Tarengiri, Lake Manyara and Gorongoro Natural Parks.

“False advertising - these pictures are not reflective of the environment. Very disappointed.”

The pictures on Booking.com, and on the actual AfricaSafari website do not reflect the true environment. It is currently underwater and not like the pictures at all. There was no green space, just swampy muddy flood water. This has been the case for months - and the company did not think to tell us, or change the descriptions or photos. When I asked for a refund the company (AfricaSafari) were not particularly helpful and offered me $70, which has still not arrived. Extremely disappointed in our very expensive weekend away - which could have been avoided if the company were honest, open and upfront with their advertising and information.

This booking was part of my bucket list and it lived up to my expectation. Staff were wonderful and helpful.

The location was fabulous being right on the edge of Lake Manyara. With hippos, flamingoes, zebra and wilder beast right on the doorstep.

A very special place where you wake up surrounded by animals. Luxuary tents. Very friendly staff. Exellent food in a beautiful restaurant building. A perfect place for safaris in Tarengiri, Lake Manyara and Gorongoro Natural Parks.

One is in the middle of the park and can observe zebras, monkeys and gnus from very close. The tent gives a real camping feeling, but is super comfortable and clean. One hears the noises of the animals in the night. Perfect for families as kids live seeing the animals and going for a swim after a long day in the car. The food is good.

All great just some taxes-taxes-taxes which are NOT mentioned in the description but which have to be paid while you are in the place. They write you PM about it before you come, but who reads PM while travelling when all is well-booked? Booking.com gives good way to show extra payments but guys did not want to do that. Charged 170 USD extra. Otherwise everything was good/excellent.

There was no warm running water.

Camping in luxury tents, awesome staff. We enjoyed the „hippo hunting“ at night and even saw a baby hippo! Great breakfast and dinner!

Hotel's territory is a beautiful place with animals - monkeys, zebras, and hippos at night. Tasty meals. Friendly staff. If I have a chance to travel to Lake Manyara again , I will come back to this place.

Food was beyond our expectation, packed lunch they had provided for safari was excellent. They made food for us as per our request and quantity is more than sufficient. Large Swimming pool, well managed and very clean overlooking lake Manyara. Hotel associates are very friendly and cooperative.

Our stay was absolutely amazing. We did a Safari beforehand and I felt even closer to nature and the animals at the Resort. There were monkeys around at all times, also a zebra family paid several visits to the Camp and from the restaurant we saw a herd of wildebeests with cubs. The whole area is beautifully constructed. Next to the bar at the pool is a small fire which adds to the already good odor of the plants. After dinner you get accompanied to your tent so we felt safe at all times. Thus it was even more positively mindblowing when we could spot a hippo munching grass just a few meters from our housetent at night. The staff was super nice and helpful. We felt very welcomed. Also the cooks are exceptional, we booked full-board and were more than happy with our meals, plus the restaurant has a great view of Lake Manyara.

We had 11 great days at the resort and we loved everyday. The staff is amazing and it feels like family. We went on two safaris while we where there, and the staff is very nice to help you with the organizing. While eating breakfast or laying at the pool you are accompanied by zebras, monkeys and wilderness beats. if you are lucky you can also see hippos coming up from the lake at night! we saw them twice and it was amazing. We would definitely recommend to everyone and we really hope to come back!! Also very nice food!!
