Overview
Situated near the upper station of the Žekovec cable car at 1410 metres above sea level and an ideal starting point for skiers, Wellness Hotel Montis boasts amazing views over Savinjska Valley. You can drive by car to the bottom station of the cable car and then take the cable car to the recreational tourist centre Golte over Mozirje. Enjoy views over the eastern Karavanke Mountains and the Savinja Alps and benefit from the chairlifts and ski lifts running from the hotel over the well-prepared ski slopes. The bright rooms have light, wooden furniture and offer comfort and peace. There are 12 km of skiing tracks adapted to various skiing skills and a ski school nearby. A ski repair shop and ski rental are offered by Wellness Hotel Montis.

Blue slope was not available. Stairs to apartamants where frozen with slippwry ice, so it is dangerous.

The front desk staff were very kind and courteous, and this was the only good thing in the hotel. It could be much better if they put more focus on food and beverage part of hotel which is not good. Also be careful with Google map, it is not accurate in this case, and no one warn you about that. The overall experience felt not only disappointing but also humiliating, especially considering the expectations we had for a 4-star wellness hotel.

“Ask carefully what is on offer and in the price, and what is not!”
The location is beautiful! Lots of great views of the valley and the Dolomites, and great walking trails (we were there in the summer). Not too crowded and ideal for "recharging your batteries". Plenty of additional amenities.

The hotel offers a relaxing getaway in the mountains. The staff are very friendly, breakfast is excellent, sauna is included in the price. I think with a half-board it's a good value for money.

“It was great, we loved the wellness.”
However I have requested some additional vegan dishes and I got answer by email that they ensure me about extra vegan options. There was nothing on the food-line at the first night. Well, I am still waiting for the dinner what the receptionist promised me at that first night. LOL Later I found some food, but it was way below my expectations. Additionally, it should be written by items if it's vegetarian or vegan.
