“Amazing volcano view !”

The kitchen is huge! There’s no waiting to cook as there is two stoves and so many pots/pans/utensils. The view is unreal - it really is as incredible as the pictures. Although the location is far from a lot of the main attractions on the island, it’s nice to see a different area. They let us store our bags here whilst we were at accommodation on the other side of the island as we couldn’t carry them all on the scooter which was really kind.

one of the most hearttouching places i ever stayed🤍 the owner is nice human being, very helpful (and very proud of his hostel, which I completely understand hah), the kitchen was amazing, full equipied, the rooms too, there are no worries about insect, coz he has very well done the protection, and the views to Concepcion from the terrace are just stunning. He also helps to arrange moto which they bring you there.. no adds!

Jose was so friendly and kind. We had a great stay at El Peregrino. Lots of beautiful animals live here, including dogs, a cat, and a horse. Incredible volcano views, well equipped kitchen, easy walk to/ from the port and main area of Moyogalpa. Things to note: No A/C, but the fan works well. Wifi does not work in the bedrooms, but works well in communal areas.

Great place to stay. In the middle of the nature but still only a short walk outside of town (15min). Very supportive staff, everything very clean. Great kitchen. Free water. Support for scooter rentals to explore the island.

“Perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of volcano concepion”

The best hostel we stayed at in central america! Peaceful and chill vibes. The views are stunning and the facilities/site are brilliant, but what made our stay were the hosts, Jose and Maria - kind, knowledgeable and a good laugh. Also, the value for money is really good - 10/10 recommend.

We loved this place. The owner is such an amazing person, he really brings light and positive energy. There is a lot of common space, including a kitchen you can use. The rooms are simple, with a well working fan, clean, and functional. You are close to the city but still need a car or moto. The view of the volcano from the upper floor at sunrise is stunning.

“Simple accomodation pre or post ferry with lovely garden”

The guy running the place is lovely, super friendly, great communication and very helpful. Rooms are basic but good value for the money. Can walk into the main town from the hostel - about 15mins. Good base for Night before or after ferry. Very well equipped kitchen.

“Hidden gem! Must visit if you're in Ometepe”

This place is a hidden gem. Small number of rooms, very clean, private bathroom and lots of space. The shared kitchen is HUGE and has everything needed, like really, even if multiple people want to cook at the same time. The atmosphere feels great, the outdoors are amazing, lots of hammocks, different place to chill & eat. The highlight being the INCREDIBLE view on the volcano. Big shoutout to Maria in charge of the cleaning, she's a gem. Super helpful, big smile and she's cleaning the rooms everyday + changing the towels. Honestly for the price I wasn't expecting that. We've been traveling for more than a year now and it's probably one of the best places we've stayed.

“The most beautiful peaceful stay”

We loved staying at El Peregrino. The room was clean and tidy, we got fresh towels everyday. The kitchen is huge and with absolutely everything you need! The pool table is amazing if you just want a chill night in and a chat with other guests. The garden is so beautiful and peaceful, with the most amazing view on the volcano. The host Jose is the sweetest guy, he helped us with everything we needed.

Such a beautiful stay! The owner is extremely friendly and helpful. Ordering us a scooter and organising it to be dropped to the properly for us to use whilst staying on the island. The kitchen is fantastic, very spacious and comes with everything you need! Great for if you’re planning to cook your own food whilst on the island. Definitely recommend!

Exceptional all around. José was so helpful with reliable information and the cleaning staff looked after us perfectly. Massive kitchen. Highly recommend for couples- Moyogalpa is a more lively town but the hostel provides an isolated vibe.

Everything is nice and beautiful. The location is incredibly nice, the view with the Conception Vulcano is stunning , relaxing in the hamac during the evening and watching the stars on the sky is amazing. The rooms are nice and They are cleaning the room every single day ,changing the bed and towels, that is definitely a plus . Jose , the owner, is really helpful and great, will inform you about everything , tours, transport , what to do and visit. The kitchen is large and well equipped, good organisation. Go for it and you will enjoy it !!
