“Best place to stay in Moyo”

We really enjoyed our 4-day stay at Sunset Moyo. The accommodation is centrally located in the village and offers beautiful direct access to the sea via the terrace. The terrace itself is wonderfully designed and perfect for relaxing for hours. The sunsets from there were absolutely stunning . For us, it was the best place on Moyo to enjoy the sunset every evening. The entire property is thoughtfully designed with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The many plants and small lights create a charming ambiance both during the day and at night. Our host, Jeff, gave us a very warm welcome and took exceptional care of us throughout our stay. He truly went above and beyond to help us plan our days on Moyo. Beyond that, he was always open for a friendly chat, which made the experience even more personal and enjoyable. We felt completely comfortable and well looked after the entire time. The rooms are lovingly decorated. We stayed in one of the traditional huts, which did not have air conditioning, but thanks to the clever traditional design, it remained pleasantly cool throughout the day. Two fans were also provided. Everything was extremely clean and well maintained, and thoughtful touches such as water, shower gel, and shampoo were included. We truly loved our stay with Jeff at Sunset Moyo and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere with an incredibly caring and dedicated host. Thank you to the entire Sunset Moyo team for everything!

“Stay here!”

Everything! It’s the best spot on the island. Snorkelling straight out front and waterfalls an hour walk away. Jeff, Dinni and staff are super helpful, friendly and attentive. Their food is delicious so we ate there most of the time plus local baker offers cinnamon scrolls to purchase which are a perfect snack after snorkelling or hikes to waterfalls. Talk local fishermen about snorkelling trips to Crocodile Head and Takat Segal. The coral and fish are amazing!

“The best place to stay in Moyo”

Geoff is an incredible host. Sunset is in a stunning location and is beautifully maintained. The sea is literally in front of you. The welcome is warm and genuine, the food is freshly cooked and the accommodation is really well thought through and very special. It is truly perfect. We cannot wait to come again. We stayed for 4 nights and did not see enough of the island - so we will be back.

We walked off the ferry and in a few steps we were at the accommodation. The bungalow sits right on the beach. In the morning at high tide we enjoyed a gorgeous swim looking at coral and fish. The food was delicious and the accommodation was comfortable. Jeff and his staff looked after us beautifully. We could not have asked for more and would not hesitate to return or recommend. Thank you

We had wonderful 2night stay at sunset Moyo, Jeff & his family were incredibly friendly and welcoming.

Be advised, we went during low season, restaurant was closed, so no option for breakfast either. Drinks were only on the first night and the options close by are very limited. It's a lovely place to stay but it would've been nice to have at least a few options for drinks and food. And a heads up before arriving. Rooms are basic but nice. The power shut off in the middle of the night, you sleep upstairs so it was boiling hot. Overal we enjoyed ourselfs but will not return.

Really nice place, Jeff is a great host and super friendly and is keen to help you to get around in Moyo. There is super nice terrace on the beach where you can eat great food and watch a beautiful sunset.

We really enjoyed our 6 night stay at Sunset Moyo. Jeff was helpful, chatty and welcoming. The setting was beautiful, right at the water’s edge, with good snorkelling (at high tide) from the beach. The villas with sea views that were the ‘highest spec’ accommodation were very comfortable, with AC and lovely attention to detail. Sounds of tokay geckos overhead and a coral floor bathroom added to the rustic charm. So easy to relax and unwind - steps from the restaurant, the sea and the sun loungers. We enjoyed snorkelling and diving trips and a trip to Mata Jitu waterfall too. Moyo is relatively untouched, the snorkelling and diving trips are brilliant! Recommended!

Geoff is the loveliest host, he always asked how we were going and made sure we were comfortable and happy. He went out of his way to assist us with anything we needed. The food was really tasty as well and the beds were super comfortable. The place was beautiful as well, rustic-style outdoor area to appreciate the stunning sunset.
