“Lovely stay on Moyo island”

Nice place to stay, very comfortable bed and a unique shower. Very friendly hosts.

Right on the waterfront and looks out to Rinjani in the distance. Lovely sunsets from your room! The staff were really helpful with info on the island and were willing to adjust breakfast time for our early departure.

“Structure to be improved”

Ivy is kind, helpful, and accommodating. Unfortunately, the property lacks comfort and organization. The room is small, with no closets or shelves to store essentials. Five days without cleaning, not even the bathroom. The air conditioning doesn't provide adequate cooling because the bungalows are exposed to the sun for ten hours a day and lack trees and bushes to protect them. The location—the bungalow overlooks the water—is undoubtedly beautiful, but overall, it's difficult to give a truly positive review. It could use more maintenance and a different focus on the needs of Western tourists, who make up almost all of the clientele. With a few tweaks, given the location, it could be a dream place.

The location of Moyo Island resort is amazing, sunset are fabulous and you can see the wildlife directly from the garden if look carefuly, as well really easy to jump in the water to snorkel and see the marine biodiversity of Moyo. The manager of the resort, Ivy, is absolutly lovely and kind. She is definetly the reason why, my stay there was amazing.

“A great place to relax”

Lovely little bungalows on the front, very close to the port, perfect for relaxing and switching off. Gina, the owner, was really helpful, especially for advice on how to get the boat to Moyo and for buses on Sumbawa/Lombok. Good breakfasts and lunch/dinner too. There is good snorkeling directly from the beach and even better a bit further out with a fisherman's boat, which Gina also organised - thank you!

“Gina best host on the island”

Best place to stay in Moyo without any doubt. The bungalows have the best sunset view and are quite comfortable! But Gina has really made our time there, she is the most helpful and kind and really made us feel at home.

The owner who lives on site is very friendly helpful and kind. The bungalows are nice as well and you have a nice view from the porch and the common area. The restaurant is good as well.

“Great base to explore Moyo Island”

Location directly at the harbour was great, corals for snorkeling straight ahead, great seafood warung next door. Rooms were comfy, with a balcony overlooking the sea. What made the place special was the host Gina, who was just amazingly helpful and friendly, and helped us sort out quite a bit of our trip across Sumbawa, saving us a lot of hustle.

Great place to relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the village. Gina was excellent host and helped us when we needed and made delicious mie/nasi goreng for us when we asked. Good breakfast. Very good house reef where to snorkel.

Location, Location, Location. The resort is at the 'quiet' end of the village away from other accommodation. The Beds were fabulous, and the staff were great. Being able to wonder around the village and try where possible not to intrude on the every day activities was extremely rewarding. Above all our stay was about the water. The Resort is absolute water front and we found coral at our door. This place is not for everyone, thank god. But it is by far the best snorkelling I have done over various parts of Indonesia. If quiet beaches, amazing fish and coral, waterfalls, and cheeky kids are your thing this is the place for you.

“Amazing sunset view at a quiet location”

Gina the host of the Resort is one of the nicest we have met during our Indonesia trip. She is friendly, always happy to help,very patient and makes you feel welcome all the time. Meeting nice people always leave a good memory in the journey. Great sunset view from the private patio. Since the hotel is the only one that is away from the other guesthouses and tucked on one side of the beach, it makes a very quiet location to chill and relax (no loud music around).

“Very quiet place near the sea”

Moyo is beautiful. You can snorkel everywhere and see amazing coral and fish and there is a very nice waterfall you can walk to (or rent a motorbike and take a tour to nearby villages) Go early and have the waterfall to yourself, it can get crowded if one of the labuan bajo to Lombok boats visit Moyo. There are a few crowded hotels with a pool and a diving school with noise, on the other end of the bay there is this fairly new place. Your room is 10 meters from the shore. A light sea breeze makes you don't need AC so no humming... it is quiet. Just the sound of the waves. There is No Karaoke on the island. The are a few fine restaurants with fresh fish and lobster on the menu. No electricity during daylight hours. The 2 beds are good, clean bathroom and a nice porch overlooking the sea. Gina speaks good English and is extremely helpful if you ask her something. She can arrange a snorkeltour, rent a motorbike for you or a tour to Satondo but you have to ask her, she is not upselling. The breakfast is included and pretty good.

Once you settle into the pace of life on Moyo Island, it is a wonderful place to visit. Gina and the staff are great and attend to any questions or needs you have. We recommend asking Gina to cook all your meals as her food is tasty, healthy and better than anything else we had on the island. Snorkelling, swimming, visiting the waterfall, and relaxing watching village life happen around you are the main activities. We hope you enjoy the island as much as we did.

The resort is near to the jetty and facing directly to the sea, and we enjoy the sunset direct from the balcony. The nasi goreng breakfast was served heartly by the manager Pak Irfan and we enjoy every single of it.
