Overview
Featuring a 6-hectare park with a heated outdoor swimming pool and a vineyard, Chateau Breduriere is located in Moutiers-sur-le-Lay, 26 km from La Roche-sur-Yon, and a 30-minute drive from the Atlantic Ocean. It offers free Wi-Fi access. All of the guest rooms include an electric kettle, and LCD TV with satellite channels and a private bathroom with shower. They have a refined décor and are spacious. Meals can be requested at an additional cost. You can also relax in the communal lounge, which has a fireplace. Les Sables d'Olonne is a 45-minute drive from Chateau Breduriere, Lucon Train Station is 10 km away, and free private parking is provided on site.

“A beautiful property in an idyllic location and extremely well managed.”
The chateau was absolutely beautiful,accessed by a private road and with it’s own salt pool. The chateau is in it’s own grounds of several acres and has lovely views all round. The nearest town,Mareuil sur Lay around 3 miles away,is small,with a few shops and a beautiful river, where you can hire various types of boats / canoes. The rooms in the chateau are old, beautifully furnished and everything is spotlessly clean and well organised. I had breakfast every day and loved the fresh fruit,yoghurts,home made preserves, croissants and more. There are laying hens at the chateau and I was privileged to enjoy fresh eggs every day. On two evenings during my week there,Marieke, who runs the chateau, produced fabulous meals with chateau wines and anything else you could wish to drink. I loved staying at Chateau Breduriere and will definitely be going back there.

“Great stay in quirky chateau, with charming hostess, in an area near the coast, surrounded by vines.”
Very large and comfortable room overlooking the vineyard. Also use of the terrace for drinks etc in the evening. Very good breakfast with eggs as well as usual bread, fruit etc. Home made jams. Exceedingly charming hostess, very friendly and helpful.

Lovely breakfast in chateau dining room with doors open onto the vineyard beyond. Beautiful salt water swimming pool. Large airy, calm bedrooms, well decorated and furnished. Charming chateau grounds in French countryside of La Vendée. Very friendly, relaxed and helpful chateau manager.

“Wonderful location, fantastic people and amazing hospitality”
From the moment we arrived the welcome could not have been more genuine and friendly. Having booked a room in the chateau we were delighted to be given a guided tour of the grounds that really set us up for our 4 night stay. We travelled to France to attend Festival Dans Les Jardins De William Christie in nearby Thire. Marieke is a wonderful accommodation manager - Nothing was too much trouble for her. It was obvious from the outset that she intended in making our stay special, and I'm sure she does the same for everyone! The views over the estate vineyard and out onto the sunflower fields was so relaxing. We found some great walks nearby and a fantastic restaurant in Maison Desamy in Mareuil-sur-lay-Dissais. This was our first adventure post COVID lockdowns and couldn't have been a better start! Highly recommend staying here as a base for touring the Pays de la Loire region

“Very comfortable and relaxing .”
The Breakfast was lovely. Typical french breakfast with fresh baked breads and croissants. Jams and preserves were made from fruit picked from the gardens. The breakfast room was the dining room in the chateau with beautiful views of the Gardens and vins . Very pleasant start to the day.
