My husband and I recently stayed at Closeburn House and had the most wonderful experience. This was a special babymoon for us before the arrival of our baby, and from start to finish, our weekend was exactly what we needed. Paul and Stephen were exceptional hosts—so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely lovely people. They made us feel completely at home and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable. One of the highlights was the incredible à la carte breakfast each morning, beautifully prepared and hosted by Paul and Stephen. The food was outstanding and made each day feel extra special. The atmosphere at Closeburn House is peaceful, relaxing, and full of charm. We left feeling refreshed, reconnected, and grateful for such a wonderful getaway before becoming parents. Thank you, Paul and Stephen, for your warm hospitality and for making our stay so amazing. Stephen and Paul are delightful and welcoming hosts. Everything was wonderful - gorgeous period house, tasteful decor, quiet, sprawling well-kept gardens, delicious two course breakfasts, a very cute staff dog, pristine clean, plenty of lounge areas to relax. I loved everything.

My husband and I went there for our birthday(s) weekend away, and it could not have been more special. From the moment we arrived, Paul and Steve made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. They treated us with such kindness and attention. It is clearly visible how much love and dedication they put into every detail of the home and the experience they create for their guests. The house itself is beautiful, cosy, spotlessly clean, and smells wonderful. The room was excellent, and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, with great care taken in flavour, presentation, and service. Everything was carefully prepared and served by them personally. Experiences like this make us want to travel more, simply for the chance to meet people like them. Thank you for making our celebration so meaningful. We will remember this stay, along with Paul, Steve and Ted, with great fondness. We hope to return in winter to enjoy the Blue Mountains again.

Closeburn House is is in a lovely secluded location, the building is the best restoration I’ve seen in Australia, the grounds are very well maintained & such a peaceful space!

From arrival, to leaving the property it was as if the stay was curated. The owners Paul & Steve need to have their own tv show or something-not only are they a talented couple of humans, with attention to detail second to none, they have a way of making you feel like you’re the only people staying there.
