Mount Bliis is a five-star accommodation featuring a spacious two-bedroom apartment, beautifully maintained with high-quality fittings—perfect for a family of four. I’m from Melbourne, Australia, and stayed here for four nights. The owner resides overseas but is easily contactable and extremely polite. The property is looked after by a lovely elderly couple, Soma and Prem, who live on the ground floor. They were exceptionally kind and hospitable throughout our stay. Soma is an incredible cook—after I provided the ingredients, they prepared delicious traditional meals for us. I had originally planned to dine at the Mount Lavinia Hotel, but their home-cooked food was so outstanding that I never needed to. The apartment has a charming and tranquil atmosphere. From the large balcony, you can enjoy the sea breeze with a glass of wine or whisky while listening to birds singing and watching squirrels play. The garden is well-maintained and pruned, which meant we experienced no issues with mosquitoes or flies. The apartment is very comfortable, featuring two air-conditioned bedrooms, ceiling fans, en-suite bathrooms for each room, and ample linen storage. It felt like home. I will absolutely stay at Mount Bliis every time I visit Sri Lanka. Highly recommended!

Very nice and quite place, the terrass with a view. Space 80m2, perfect for four people. Clean just a Great place. Happy I found this place after 30 years in Mt. Lavinia.

“Couldn't get better in Mount Lavinia”

A beautiful large apartment, ideal for several people. Big kitchen/fridge/microwave. Many local takeaways. Completely private unspoilt views of the garden and surrounding trees/neighbourhood through the large glass walls to the house. Two decent sized double bedrooms, both en-suite and with adequate AC. Nicely furnished and homely/stylish, classic with modern twist. Large dining table ideal for groups/families. Accommodating owners that are offering value-for-money. Large outdoor patio area with seating for 4 or 5. Very secure, the caretaker is there 24/7.

I really like the whole set up and staying there was a pleasure. Would like to give me special thanks to Mr Premachandra and Mrs Soma who's staying there to look after the property very well. And I specially like Soma's food and they both were very friendly and helpful all the time. My son had a great time staying there too and its very kids friendly too.

My grateful thanks to the owners Mahesa and Anil who were quick to respond and helped me a lot when I needed to take care of my leg in a hospital. My grateful thanks to the caretakers of the house Mrs. Soma and Mr. Premeratna, who took care of me like their son, and prepared so delicious Sri Lankan meals for a very reasonable price. I felt so good in this so beautiful and big apartment, which also has very comfortable bed, and very good shower.

I have stayed at dozen of holiday appartements and this was one of the best so far. Staff was very hospitable and pleasant from arival to departure . The whole appartement is specious cozy very well clean and all the necessary facilities are there. Living room is also huge, modern had enough top range furniture which made us very comfortable. The host, very cooperative from start to end always responded to my queries promptly. (Not often in other places) We realy enjoyed our stay at Mount Bliss Retret certainly will visit again with no hesitation. 😍
