The hosts were just amazing! Everything is there to make you feel at home! You'll have the best advices, tour around and home cooked food. The room is super clean, bathroom, kitchen, living room and balcony are there. Location is great! If I have one place to recommend in Colombo, it would definetly be the House of Erskin! Thank you for everything!

The owner is incredibly kind - he went out of his way to help me. If you ask, you are able to have delicious food at the house which I highly recommend. The rooms don’t have aircon but the fan is all you need.

Home away from home is seriously not only the slogan- he makes it up to it! We arrived i the middle of the night because of flight delay and were so warmly welcomed that we couldnt believe it! Its a nice and quiet place eventhough everything important (beach, supermarket and restaurant) are 5-10minutes walking distance. The host is such a fantastic and friendly person with so much knowledge and passion for his country: something he also likes to share. Which for us, just arrived in a new country after 10month Indonesia, was really helpful. The food we got is amongst the best we had on our journey and as such already worth booking at Erskines Place. Yeah- this text sounds like paid post- but no, we stayed here 4nights, and will surely visit again once back in Colombo. Perfect place for travellers, ideal if you plan to stay more than just overnight-to airport. Thanks for the warm welcome in your Country Suren, your support and the delicious meals- we look forward to see you again in the future.

“Exceptionally perfect”
The hospitality in this place was truly amazing! Could not have asked for better care. The host is very keen on sharing a nice conversation. He waited up all night for me as I was coming from the airport and my flight was delayed. The next day he dropped me at the bus station and even came on the bus before it left to make sure I was comfortable and new where to get off. I recommend this place a 100%!

We had a wonderful stay here - the owners are incredible hosts and made us feel very at home. We were cooked a huge Sri Lankan breakfast our first morning along with coffee, tea, home baked goods and a smoothie. Then for dinner we got to try egg hoppers and ginger tea. There were also drinks and snacks in the fridge available all day. The owner called us taxis and told them where to go so we didn’t get scammed. Also had some really good suggestions for our travels. The best part is that he is letting us keep our big bags here while we travel for the month so we can easily jump on and off public transport with just a small travel bag!

Everything about the property is wonderful, owners were realy helpful. The entire apartment is fully equipped, clean, organized, cozy and private. Closer to the mount beach, famous resturents in the area to go out for a dinner. A perfect stay away from home. Special mention about mr.surendra and his wife, they are very friendly. Mr. Surendra came to me and provided all the facilities I needed. The house of Erskine helped me to make the few days I spent here very beautiful. A free and quite environment with scenic surroundings surrounded by trees. Also, thank you both for treating me with the most delicious and traditional foods. There is no doubt that this will be my first place to stay when I come back to Sri Lanka. 100% ensure safety. highly recommended.
