Pool on the roof! Kind staff! Big room!

“Excellent hotel with pool in Mount Lavinia.”

An excellent small hotel close to the mount Lavinia beach, cafes, restaurants and shops. Nice thoughtful touches in the large room, plentiful full range of toiletries, tissues and tooth brushes/ tooth paste. There is a lift and roof top pool and sun bathing area. The owner and staff are very helpful and pleasant.

Our host was so lovely, and very accommodating. Any question or request we had - he was very helpful. The room was big and clean, the bed was comfy; and the bathroom was amazing! The place is also a 30 second walk from the beach.

“Comfortable and convenient stay near Colombo centre and beach”

We stayed here for one night after landing in Colombo and it was perfect for that. Beautiful interior, kind and helpful staff, comfortable bed, great location near the beach (which we didn’t visit but the view over the water from our room and bathroom was great). We booked a bigger room and it was very generously sized, the bathroom was beautiful and super spacious. Breakfast was also delicious! Another big plus is the proximity to the train station (about 5 min by car) where we got onto our express train to Galle.

Minimalistic, and great beds. Just what we were looking for. The pool on the roof was cool.

“An absolute GEM”

Coza Ceylon is an absolute gem with a roof top pool and near the beach at Mount Lavinia. The manager and staff were super friendly and, friendly happy to help with all our requests. They made our stay a very happy and comfortable one. The breakfasts are next level. Totally delicious and beautiful works of art! Highly recommend this hotel away from the hustle and bustle of busier parts of Colombo. It was a pleasure to stay here.

The owner of the hotel is a very gentlemanly man. He has worked in a hotel in Tokyo for many years and speaks Japanese fluently. The breakfast is delicious, the rooms are clean, and the location is great. Overall, the value for money is excellent!

Kind, helpful, and accommodating owner. Tastefully decorated hotel. Very spacious and comfortable room. Very good Sri Lankan breakfast. Quiet neighborhood but only one minute walk from Mount Lavinia beach and restaurants.

We were happy with everything! Subahan and his team made us very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. The beds were very comfy and the breakfast was amazing. Rooftop pool was heavenly!

“We love Coza Ceylon”

Coza Ceylon was an amazing place for a short getaway from the bustle of downtown Colombo. The owner Subahan is incredibly accommodating, with staff that work around the clock and are beyond eager to make sure your stay is as comfortable and memorable as possible. The smooth marble-esque concrete decor, ridiculously large bathroom and perfectly icy air conditioning made for a very comfortable stay in the room. To take advantage of the hot May sun, the rooftop pool was delightful, almost a private oasis to watch the Colombo skyline during the afternoon. To add to the experience, the hotel is a 5 minute walk from the beachfront restaurants and bars, with the best of Mt Livinia at your fingertips. Couldn't rate this more highly.

“Recommended, but the fridge issue needs addressing.”

I chose this hotel ahead of arriving in Colombo as I wanted somewhere outside of the city to relax. The hotel itself is located about 200m from the nearest beach which gave me the opportunity to enjoy the sea breeze as it was incredibly hot. The hotel itself was an unexpected treat, it boutique without being pretentious. The room was big, the bathroom colossal but normal standards with a large bath sunk into a raised area and separate walk in shower. As for the bed...it was so comfortable, a real treat and I slept great. Breakfast was nice, with the host making a great effort to provide a hearty breakfast. If you're planning on staying in Mount Lavinia give it a go. Recommended.

Great staff. Swimming pool rather small and no sunshades (although the manager to explain they were on order). Short walk to the beach, albeit over a railway line! Bed was really comfy, fridge in room which is always a really nice addition.

Excellent and friendly service. Very helpful. Delicious breakfast.
