Very spacious room with plenty of windows and large comfortable bed. Traditional character bungalow and lovely interior in beautiful garden setting. Great outside sitting space with comfortable chairs where we had a substantial and delicious breakfast. We also enjoyed the personal contact and attention by the lady host and her staff who went to great lengths to tend to our preferences. A little peaceful and quiet oasis, we felt lucky to have found it. Thank you for creating a delightful place.

Not only a quiet lane off the main road (Galle Road) but also secure and secluded behind a high gate and wall. A very nice haven. It's just a 5 minute walk down to the Mount Lavinia beach too. Very welcoming hosts and a nice, clean room with bathroom, AC, net, and veranda for breakfast. They have clearly spent a lot of effort making it comfortable. Less than half the price and more value than many other beach or Colombo hotels (I'm a regular visitor). Tuk tuks are available within minutes outside the gates to get into town for shopping etc.

Location right near the beach in a quiet location. Breakfast was fantastic, different each day. The owner and staff were extremely helpful.

Beautiful, quiet, and clean accommodation, within walking distance of the beach and restaurants. It is clear that the owner wants her guests to feel comfortable. The staff member is very attentive and courteous! The breakfast was excellent. We can recommend a stay here.

“Homely, spacious and excellent staff.”

A Spacious, homely and comfortable hidden away in a great location. The owner Janitha is very helpful and is often present. All necessary facilities are provided including washing machine when required and drinking water. Caretaker Gunaseelan does an excellent breakfast with a variety of Sri Lankan or western breakfast. He is ever ready to help with any matters. The property itself is very beautiful with ample gardens and extremely safe so any children can play around or even be left by themselves in the premises. Great parking space too. The kitchenette is well provided for with equipment including a fridge and gas cooker. Overall I would fully recommend this place for your stay. Great value for money too. Location to the beach

Excellent Location. Breakfast was very good. The Bungalow was clean and spacious. Caretaker Gunaseelan was friendly and humble. This is my second stay and would definitely come back again.

“Three lovely self-contained studio cottages”

Secluded studio cottage with a separate kitchen and bathroom and an open veranda overlooking a lush garden with many birds and butterflies flitting about and with pet tortoises. Lovely hostess Janitha and room boy Seelan, who kept the cottage spotless, made us super breakfasts and gave us good advice on what to do.

Great location not far from shops, banks and beach. Beautiful setting in enclosed garden. Absolutely helpful host and caretaker. Spacious, comfortable cottage. We returned to the Cottage gardens on our way home adding an extra night. Will return on our next visit to Colombo.

I arrived in Srilanka by arriving in Cottage Garden, such a nice place for stay and take Srilankan temperature. Quite, peaceful, with tortule friends who is walking in the garden. Breakfast was very good and generous.

Very friendly and helpful staff, Janitha was really nice contacting me in advance and enabling an earlier check-in. Room was large and comfortable and breakfast pleasant. Property is about 50 metres from Mount Lavinia beach.
