Alpine Retreat is located 200 metres from the centre of the Mt Buller Alpine Village and the Bourke Street ski run. Mansfield is a 1-hour drive away and Melbourne is a 3.5 hour drive. The property features spectacular views of Mt Buller and the surrounding high country. Guests enjoy ski hire and a games room with a table tennis table. You can relax in the shared lounge area. The facilities are dated, but perfectly ok. The bedroom and beds were great. It was good to be able to access the bar and restaurant in the same facility.

“Alpine retreat location is great for people who have young kids so you can enjoy the snow more”
Breakfast very low standard for the price we paid , the bung bed very noisy, bathroom is clean. Noise from the bad is ok for us because we are tired .

“Would not recommend.”
On arrival we were told by the manager “do you know what room you booked. You’re right above the bar where we got a staff party that will be loud and late. Goodluck with that”. Then arrive in the room to find it not cleaned, no toilet paper, used soap in shower floor, rubbish on floor in main living area.

“Went for a hens weekend”
10/10! The beds were comfy, the staff were adorable, Danny the ski shop dude downstairs is whack but a legend, the spa was steamy and with the option to have a boogie on the dancefloor, topped it off! There were heaps of families there, would bring my kids back for sure!

“90's Teen Bedroom Vibes”
The location of the hotel was fantastic. Right on the fringe of the Village and perfect to walk down to ski or to have dinner. Rooms were very warm, and the staff were extremely helpful and lovely. The breakfast downstairs was also great! Games room upstairs is good for kids with a TV and pool table. Storage for ski gear down stairs and heated pool and spa (which we didn't get to use)

“Good snow but couldnt really enjoy it due to lack of sleep (noisy bunk beds)”
The Hotel was generally really nice and the staff are just lovely and friendly.
