The location is a mix of peace, beauty and chilling. They provided diving lessons and a very nice BBQ!

I had a lovely stay here for two nights. I stayed in the dorms with two volunteers. The workers during my stay, Joyce (Aiko), Aruzhan, and Oriba, made my experience awesome. I got to experience great conversation, a fun Ubike day adventure, and even some calming and intentional meditative yoga. As a bonus, there is a mama cat with a couple babies who live on the property to which I got to give some good pets:). This accomodation is truly a forest escape with a stunning view and cozy living area - you can tell this place is really loved. I don't have a car so I took a bus and walked part of the way. Highly recommend!

If I could give a 10+ ratong, I would. What an atmosphere, what a great place in the middle of the forest. The owner and his family are very inviting, and Oliver and the team of volunteers made the experience unforgettable. I had two splendid nights out there, with great conversations in a relaxed setting. Azu, one of the volunteers, offered a yoga lesson. How cool! Definitely will come back there if I get the chance.

- Taigo helped me a lot. He arranged a scooter rental for me by calling several shops, dropping me off and picking me up at the end of the day - you can rent a snorkeling set - there's an electrical bike you can use - the kitchen is well equipped (pots, pans, stove, spices etc) so you can cook a decent meal. Most nearby store is a 10min cycle. - the beds were comfy and there is cozy lightening in the dorm room - they arranged a vegetarian BBQ for me incl. rice for 2300 with lots of delicious veggies

Wild experience in this beautiful place in the middle of the nature, Is not next tò the beach but they provide you free bicycle to ride around, Tiger, the owner, is super cool and helpfull to satisfy your request!!! Highly reccomend if you want to try something different instead a lot of impersonal building you find around the Island and love to live wild

Very chill and cozy athmosphere. A place to socialize and make new friends. Extremely friendly and attentive staff.

The hotel is very unique in the middle of the nature (abit more on the remote side tho), highly recommended for those who seek something new. Accommodation is clean and tidy, the host was one of the kindest I have encountered.

“Great place to stay and relax excellent rates, lovely family”

The location was in between everything I wanted to do in the area. It was the first really peaceful place I’d stayed at. It has great hostel vibes and beautiful surroundings. You do need your own transport to get there, I had a hire car, someone else had a moped. The owners so so kind. Dorm was comfortable and clean. I loved the hammocks on the rooftop area. Unfortunately we didn’t have a bonfire on the first night because it rained but there is a lovely bonfire pit.

Set in nature, beautiful and peaceful

Really great place to stay at, Taiga is probably the most friendly and accommodating host I've met. Living here feels like living comfortably in the middle of the jungle. Great atmosphere and hangout with other guest from all over Europe and Asia. Thanks for the stay!👌 Also took a scuba course which was awesome, and much value for the money.

Probably the best hostel I’ve ever stayed at :) Taiga and Akane are amazing people and Moana is super cute - they really create a homely atmosphere and helped me with so many things! If you love nature this is the perfect place to hang out while listening to different birds singing. The electrical bicycles were amazing for a trip to Kouri island as well. Also, Taiga is a great and super patient diving instructor.

One of the hostels I’ve stayed at! The couple who own the hostel are so lovely and kind - they organized food for us every evening and helped us with everything. The place is so nice and peaceful and is great for solo travellers. I highly recommend for an unforgettable experience 🌞

What a beautiful place to relax. It's out in the jungle so not for those without transport, but awesome if you like walking and don't mind Okinawa bus waiting times. Loved my stay here.

“Perfect place in nature with amazing people”

I chose This is Okinawa due to the unanimous outstanding reviews and mine is no different. A fantastic location set inside the lush forests, yet close to all amenities and the large town of Nago, it was perfect for relaxing in nature. The room was spacious clean and comfortable. Taiga is a wonderful host who was extremely helpful and flexible, who took me for an amazing diving trip for a very reasonable price. It was much better than booking a group tour. If you’re looking for a place to experience nature, and meet friendly people whether that be the wonderful hosts Taiga and Oliver or fellow travellers, then look no further. I could not recommend enough.
