“Long live to Niku’”

A really raw and authentic guesthouse with the best host ! Niku is truly the goat, he played my favorite Okinawan music with his sanshin and made sure we were comfortable. He also showed me his film camera collection when I told him I was a photographer. What a cool guy, long life to him!

We liked this guesthouse for its location a little bit away from the busy streets but near enough to public transport, supermarket and restaurants. It was surrounded by woods and grassland. Very quiet, the host was very friendly and helpful.

“Good choice to stay in Motobu”

I enjoyed my stay at Okinawa Motobu Guest House. The location is good (the Churaumi Aquarium and the Expo Park itself are nearby). The host is a sweet, polite and friendly person! Price/Quality ratio met my expectations. You can use the kitchen for cooking, the washing machine and the relaxation zone in the house which is comfy. I would stay here again!

The staff was really nice and helped us with informations for our next days. It was a good location for the fireworks.

Very kind and helpful owner. He gave me a ride to the nearby mountain (Motobu Fujisan), and I'm still very grateful for thar. I added a picture of the mountain as "outside" Great assortment of snacks, food, and drinks, which is great if you forgot to bring some. Cozy room with a good fan. Walkable distance to the nearby Aquapark/Aquarium.

The host, Niku-san is really great. He is super friendly and kind, which made my stay really incredible!

The Guest House is owned by a realy nice guy. It is located close to the Oceanic Expo, a beautiful public place with museums, aquariums, restaurants and a wonderful beach.

The host was super friendly and helpful. We had a great evening together and he even taught me some Okinawan words and how to play the sanshin. I loved being in an area where I could listen to the frogs at night! The bed was very firm and I slept well.

The owner is a very charming and friendly person. He plays some music and speaks very good English. The shower was warm, clean and tidy. The shared living space was wide and comfortable on the tatami floor. A lot of information and photos show that this place is well liked. In the evening there are strong lights outside making it easy to notice. Yamakawa port has a small beach behind the sea wall. Bring swim shoes and goggles to see the tropical blue fish a few metres out.

This place won't be everybody's cup of tea, but if you like quiet, close-to-nature, authentic places – that's it. The owner, Niku, is very helpful and will happily play some traditional Okinawan music for you. There is a fabulous rooftop (no hammocks though since the typhoon destroyed the structure) – but still a nice place your some yoga or stargazing. Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful environment, good location, convenient transportation, comfortable rooms, the host is very warm and willing to help. Good high-speed network signal, good view outside the window. The design of the room ornaments is also very distinctive.
