A unique old house, carefully and tastefully renovated, located in a mountain valley next to a beautiful large meadow far from civilisation. Peace, lazily passing time doing nothing - the perfect place to relax. The host is always helpful and unobtrusively takes care of the guest.

Stone house full of traditional details surrounded with beautiful nature, tasty breakfast with local products, friendly owner having good restaurant and other tips! We enjoyed spending two days in this idyllic place away from any form of fuzz.

Beautiful place, generous and kind host

Stationed in a quiet and secluded location but easy to access, Klavze offers a perfect retreat for a weekend getaway. Or more :) Breakfast is nice and offers various choices (cheese, cured meat, granola, eggs, etc.), owners are there and at your disposal if you need them and there's a river just underneath if you need a refreshment during the hot summer days. Tolmin and Kobarid are 30-50min ride away and the start of multiple hikes on Krn, Vogel, Tolminski Kuk are also not more than than an hour ride.

John is the perfect host and was always helpful. The breakfast is great: high quality, seasonal and regional food. The house itself is furnished with much care. Overall a great experience!

“Rather expensive for the quality of accommodation offered.”

The property is nicely situated in an isolated location but the experience is let down by the poor internal restoration of the building including antiquated plumbing and furniture. The towels supplied were the consistency and appearance of light rugs. The breakfast choice was very limited. Frankly, I've been in better furnished mountain hostels.

“The highlight of our week”

The house is beautiful and full of character. The kitchen is well stocked and the breakfast was delicious (full of local ingredients!). The setting is so serene and picturesque - surrounded by trees, mountains and the river, and only a short drive from the beautiful Most Na Soci. And the hosts, John and Sarah, are so welcoming and helpful. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay, would highly recommend!

A wonderful and carefully refurbished and decorated traditional house, nestled an incredibly beautiful valley, a superb breakfast with good coffee and homemade food. A little paradise to relax body and soul.

it's a wonderful and sensational location in the middle of the forest clearing, we had attentive personally care, breakfast was good and rich, although usually I don't like background music, the breakfast-songs were stimulating, ...

Looking for peace and quiet then Klavze28 is the right place for you. We had the whole house for ourselves which we really enjoyed but I am sure it it also a lovely experience to share this beautiful place. John, Sarah and their two lovely children made us feel at home. We had an amazing time. We loved the breakfast everything made with local ingredients. John is making the best scrambled eggs. We would love to come again!

“Stunning Klavze 28”

We absolutely loved everything about Klavze 28. We loved the beautiful alpine scenery, the fantastic building with use of the great kitchen and library and outdoor spaces. Our loft room was beautiful, with quirky furnishings, so tastefully done. The river bathing spot is also lovely and the breakfasts are generous and tasty.

The most tranquil, welcoming and relaxing place I have ever been to, natural beauty is a phrase that was created for places like this. Breakfast was served overlooking the gardens which roll on down the banks to the River Soci which is idyllic to swim in.

Beautiful place, really open and cosy. If you are lazy, you have a river just a stones throw away. Hosts are excellent and very kind.
