It felt like home with my friends. The staff- Sophia, Cherie and Antony - went out of their way to make us feel extra comfortable!!The service we got exceeded the price we paid by far. We got such amazing company. The breakfast was exceptional. Cherie had stories for days and so much wisdom. I came for Kilimanjaro marathon and left feeling like I was on holiday. I will come back over and over again!

The set up made me feel at home away from home

We had an amazing stay at Lion Kings Homestay. We even got upgraded for free to a bigger room. The staff is gorgeous and very helpful, gave good recommendations and prepared an amazing breakfast. We even extended our stay there. The facilities were as described and spotless clean. The check-in and -out were flexible, even though we booked spontaneously and arrived in the evening. The location was quiet and easy reachable with bajaji, Sophia the housekeeper can organise for you if needed. I highly recommend and will stay there again.

We had the most exceptional stay at Lion King Homestay. From the moment we arrived we felt more like friends & family rather than guests. The guesthouse is in a quiet part of Moshi and (besides the bedrroms) offers a garden, patio, kitchen, and living room. Every detail of the house is very much thought-through, the entire guesthouse is well kept-after and super clean. However, the best part are the owner (who was visiting from Australia when we were there) as well as staff. The service is out of this world (thanks for all the food and drinks provided!!), they always have an open ear and when my friend got sick they even took us to the dentist in the morning and the hospital during the night (just to get up again after 4 hours of sleep....). The owner is also engaged in several NGO initiatives in Tanzania (Moshi area) and really supports the people living there! I can only say THANK YOU again for everything you have done!

“Overall a very pleasant stay. Just on the outskirts of Moshi where the neighbourhood is a bit nicer.”

Breakfast was nice with a good selection of cereal, yoghurt, avocado, eggs, sourdough and coffee. Company was really good from the host. She is doing. Brilliant job in helping children and orphans in their education and puts in workshops in her garden. Really is fantastic to see. Room was spacious enough and the place was clean and private too.

Sophia is an amazing chef and warm hostess. Every breakfast/dinner was delicious and she obliged every request. Along with Anthony, the two of them made the homestay experience exceptionally comfortable.
