We had a wonderful stay at Shose Farmhouse Chalets and Campsite and can highly recommend it to anyone visiting Moshi. Our room was very modern, tastefully designed, and well equipped. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. We enjoyed delicious meals in the restaurant located in the beautiful garden, both at breakfast and dinner. From the hotel, we had a great view of Kilimanjaro mountain. We also liked the farm-to-table concept. They have their own farm directly on the premises. One of the staff members kindly gave us a very interesting tour of the farm. Asante sana to the whole team - we truly enjoyed our stay.

The hotel was perfect from beginning to end. The welcome was superb. Ismael is a fantastic manager, a real gem, who shows you around the hotel-farm with great passion. The place is beautiful and peaceful, and the evenings around the wood fire are extraordinary. Thank you, Ismael, and all the staff!

“Slightly disappointed”

The hotel offers you great mountain views. It has a big and beautiful garden. It is quite clean and the staff start to clean all the common areas early in the morning. They are mostly friendly and helpful. The receptionist helped us to book a day tour to Rau Forest late in the evening and it turned out to be great. Breakfast is decent.

“relaxing with a view”

The view of Kilimanjaro from the balcony is spectacular. The bathtub on the balcony is good to relax, although I only used it once. There is a nice pool. The whole property is very green and very good looked after. Everything is very clean. The majority of food in the restaurant comes from the organic farm. One of the staff, Benson, gave as a tour around the farm to see how everything works. He is enthusiastic and kind. Our waiter most of the time was Julius and he is very caring and positive person. We also liked Ismail, he seemed like the most competent in the hotel for any questions. The breakfast was great. Peaceful location.

It was a great area with a cute Restaurant and great staff. The food was local from the own farm and the staff was very friendly and helffull.

Good hotel by African standards. Great views of Kilimanjaro. Very nice and friendly staff. Storage of our luggage during the Kilimanjaro hike was easy and free. We also got an extra room when we arrived early as our flight arrived in the early hours of the morning.

Staff was super friendly and helpful. Great view on the mountain. A little bit far from the city, but I took this into account. After asking you can get a remote internet router which works fine.

The hotel surroundings are wonderful and the view to Mount Kilimanjaro is just as pictured. Breakfast had great options: fresh fruit, omelettes, pancakes, yoghurt… The room was spacious and pool was refreshing.

A big shout-out to the owners of Shose Farmhouse Chalets: you have created such a lovely place that completely exceeded my expectations. Instead of staying for two weeks, I ended up staying for five weeks and even wanted to extend my stay for another three months (which unfortunately was not possible due to limited availability), because I was so happy and satisfied there. I stayed in a beautiful, modern bungalow with my own private garden, which I truly admired. In my opinion, the bungalow looks even more beautiful in real life than in the pictures. The standards Shose Farmhouse Chalets sets are very high: the accommodation is very clean and modern (they even offer Netflix on the TV), the service is extremely customer-oriented (they genuinely try to fulfill all your wishes), and the food is outstanding — I truly mean this. It is absolutely comparable to high-standard European cuisine and is made from their own homegrown vegetables and fruits. The property offers so much more: a playground for kids, a pool with a stunning view of Mount Kilimanjaro, and many wonderful details such as cows, rabbits, chickens, a fish lake, and gardens full of vegetables, fruits, and flowers🥰 They even offer a beautiful creative experience where you can paint in the garden — with brushes, colors, and a canvas provided — which adds such a special and inspiring touch to the stay. But what truly makes this place special are the wonderful people.

The grounds were beautifully kept and the staff were incredible. Me and my wife spent a lot of time around the pool and soaking in the views of the mountain.

“Great view and fantastic staff!”

Th staff were absolutely fantastic! We stayed there the night before and the night after our ascent to Kilimanjaro. It was fantastic to have a view of it from our room on both of these nights. Benson and Christina from reception (if I recall the name correctly) had planned beautiful room decorations for us as we were there for our honeymoon. Likewise Julius, had prepared an incredible seating decoration for us at the restaurant for our honeymoon. We had a small issue with the air conditioner and Benson contacted maintanance quite late in the evening. A lovely engineer came and fixed the issue very efficiently. Overall all the staff that we encountered was fantastic.

We had a fantastic time at Shose Farmhouse Chalets & Campsite. Adeline, Angel, Mike, Benson, Ismael, Marry and the whole team looked after us so well and made my birthday really special. We loved Benson's Swahili lessons and Ismael's card games! The view of Mount Kilimanjaro was amazing and it was so nice to come back to Shose and relax after we had finished our climb. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

“A truly special and unique stay at Shose Farmhouse - highly recommended!”

I stayed at Shose Farmhouse with my mom for four nights, and it was hands down our favorite accommodation during our two weeks in Tanzania. We booked the room last minute on a Sunday evening and arrived just an hour later. Despite the short notice, everything went incredibly smoothly. The staff welcomed us with such warmth, and the check-in process was seamless. Our room was beautiful - spotlessly clean, fresh, and modern, with a lovely atmosphere that made us feel instantly at home. Each morning, we enjoyed breakfast in their charming outdoor dining area. The food was delicious, with plenty of options, and we especially loved the homemade yoghurt made from milk from their own cows (which we also got to meet!). The farm-to-table experience was truly unique - they grow their own vegetables and keep chickens and cows, which adds a special touch to the stay. Although we had a packed itinerary in Moshi, we also found time to relax at the farmhouse, and it was the perfect place to do so. The peaceful surroundings and the genuine hospitality of the staff made every moment enjoyable. A special shoutout to Adeline, whose cheerful “good morning” always started our day with a smile. Benson was another highlight - he took some beautiful photos of us with Kilimanjaro in the background, right outside our room. We also had the pleasure of meeting Ismael, the assistant manager. Such a wonderful person, with a calming presence and attention to detail. He took the time to show us around the property, explaining how everything works and what they grow. He even wrote down some essential Swahili phrases for us, which was such a thoughtful gesture. To the entire team at Shose Farmhouse - asante sana! You truly go the extra mile to make guests feel welcome and cared for. Your kindness, attention to detail, and the unique charm of the farmhouse made this an unforgettable experience.
