It was perfect and they were super helpful. We were running Kilimanjaro Marathon and they allowed us a late checkout so we could freshen up after our run, made sure there was breakfast before and after the run, and were lovely. Perfect stay!

A warm welcome and a kind and thoughtful team. Millie is amazing! The accommodations are well appointed, very clean, and very comfortable. Lunch and breakfast were sensational! It was lovely to learn about the school and to meet a member of the teaching team and students. Beautiful gardens. Millie was happy to organise excellent transfers from Kili airport and onwards. Highly recommend a stay with More than a Drop.

More than a drop is an oasis a little outside of Moshi. We stayed in the garden suites, which are really comfortable and with their own bathroom. (Just note, that there is no door to the bathroom). Everybody from the staff is really nice and helpful and Millie will help you arrange airport transfers, Guided tours or drivers at the reception. The restaurant offers great breakfast and Dinner (including Swahili heritage food) and is completely vegetarian - loved the Mango Jam! Also, the cocktails do not disappoint ;) All in all this is a great place to stay and you are also supporting a great cause, i.e. a Girls Hospitality school.

“A perfect stay in a perfect location!”

I absolutely loved my stay! I admire everything the organisation stands for in supporting women’s rights and empowering young girls. The restaurant food was absolutely delicious, and the rooms were very comfortable. The hotel is in an excellent location, close to town, and Milie and Jackie were wonderful—super helpful and genuinely kind, making sure I had everything I needed. I especially appreciated their communication with the taxi drivers when I was heading to the airport.

More Than A Drop (MTAD) is an oasis in Moshi. I stayed for about a week in February 2025. MTAD is located just outside of Moshi. Although I mostly just walked to town tuk tuks or motorcycle rides come by every minute or two. Ths staff are friendly and helpful. They accomodated any request including 5 AM breakfast. Milli arranged for transportation and advised on tours. The breakfast and dinners were delicious offering traditional local dishes as well as conventional favorites. Especially mango sorbet! Much is grown in the gardens. Everything is prepared in house, including fresh baked breads and cakes in the morning. The facility is spotlessly clean. I spent many hours relaxing in the shade on a setee or sipping cold lager on the patio. My time there will be remembered as a hilight of my trip.

Large room in the main building with private bathroom. Very good restaurant with a vegetarian only menu. I’m not a vegetarian but enjoyed each and every dish I ordered. Did not miss the meat at all. Those Chinese buns - amazing! Be sure the support their good cause program with a donation.

Beautiful old walled manor and grounds with a lovely lush courtyard dining area. We stayed in the new garden cottages.

“Beautiful hotel in lovely grounds”

Situated in a closed compound which was beautiful. It was a training hotel for young girls who were taught on site. The room was very clean and spacious with a good shower. The food served was all vegetarian but even a confirmed meat eater like me found them delicious.

The food at the restaurant was delicious and staff were really lovely. The room was nice with a garden outlook.

Lovely staff - friendly and helpful, great food, comfortable beds with mosquito nets. Great value for money!

“Charming little hotel with a hospitality school, veggie restaurant and amazing garden with Kili view”

Great little hotel in a very green and luscious old villa a bit outside the center of Moshi. There is a hospitality school on site and a very servicable vegetarian restaurant, also run mostly by the pupils (girls) of the school. The pupils are boarding in a seperate building on the site. If you are lucky there are views of mount Kili from the terrace / restaurant. Apparently the property used to be an orphanage, but it does not show. The rooms are spacious and luxurious. There is a generator for when the power goes out. It's easy to grab a bajaj to the center, if you walk 1 minute from the entrance.

The Service was great and very friendly. The food was also delicious and everything was vegetarian. There was nothing what we ve missed in our room (towels, soap, etc.). I really recommend it!!

“Quiet!”

Nice and quiet!

This place is amazing. The food is outstanding and so is the staff. I stayed here multiple times. I had a last minute change of plans the second time I stayed here which meant I never got to stay the night. Even though I used the shower and room they refused to charge me for a night.

The restaurant was fantastic! We had an amazing dinner, everything was very very tasty. Even the French fries were sublime. The staff is very friendly and the room very confortable. It's also very noble their mission by providing education to girls in Moshi.
