The room came with breakfast which was fair. The location was excellent as it was not in the city centre, very quiet and serene, easily accesible by a short bajaj ride. The lounging area was beautiful and peaceful. The gentleman at the reception, the manager and the ladies in the kitchen were very kind and always ready to help.

Very affordable 👌, clean, extra services at a small fee. It was a good stay. Nearness to the stadium where the Kili Marathon was. Went out of their way to provide early breakfast before we left for the marathon.

Had such a lovely stay here in Moshi. From the moment we arrived, everything just felt easy - the reception was smooth and welcoming, and the staff were genuinely kind and super accommodating. The place itself is really calm and peaceful, perfect for unwinding after a long day. You can tell a lot of care goes into keeping everything comfortable and well looked after. Would 100% recommend to anyone staying in Moshi. I’d definitely come back!

“We had the best stay”

We stayed at Trekcity twice during our trip to Tanzania and plan to stay here again when we return. Ghynwine and the rest of the amazing team made our stay super special. The first time we visited, our bus was due to arrive in Moshi at 5am, Ghynwine messaged us and arranged to pick us up when we got there which was so kind. We're both vegan and the kitchen team catered to this so well for the included breakfast. The meals are so reasonably priced and tasty, we ate here at least once a day for dinner or lunch too. The rooms have everything you need, are really clean and the beds are super comfortable. We arranged a couple of tours here too, to the Chemka Hot Springs and a separate tour to Materuni waterfall and the coffee farm, and they were also reasonably priced compared to what we found online. During the 6 days in total we had in Moshi, we didn't see Kilimanjaro because of the clouds, but on the last day Thadey knocked on our door to tell us the clouds had cleared so that we could run out and see it (so sweet of him to do, we were so happy!) The second time we arrived, Ghynwine kindly reached out to pick us up from the bus again, and then when it was time for us to leave Thaday helped us book our bus and came with us to the bus station to make sure we got our tickets ok. Everyone here was so amazing to us and we really are going to miss the whole team.

It was more than a hostel. Private bathroom, very big double bed. Nice A/C.

It was the perfect place to stay before and after our Kilimanjaro trek. The property is very big, clean, and comfortable. Our room was also great. There is a bar and restaurant (very good food) and plenty of common areas to relax. The staff were great! They were funny and helpful. They made our stay very enjoyable. Thank you!

The tourist experience in Moshi Town is relatively poor, but this hotel is a plus. It feels very comfortable to stay in the yard. I feel dizzy when I go out of the door. The road is too bad outside.

EVERYTHING was awesome! The staff, however, were truly exceptional. Thadey, the manager, went more than the extra mile to ensure that my stay was comfortable and memorable. Ghynwine, the owner, also checked in regularly to ensure all was good. Stanley persevered in teaching me some Swahili. And so I can continue to speak only good things of everyone. (Thanks guys, I miss you stacks.) My private room had all the amenities I could wish for - aircon was a life saver. There is no need to book tours in advance, as the hostel helped arrange everything I wanted to do (safari, coffee plantation, hot springs, etc.), as well as a super reliable airport shuttle via Mo Taxi Service picking me up from JRO airport at an ungodly hour (ask for Prince). Do try all the local delicacies (chipsi mayai, pilau, etc.) offered on the hostel menu, at super reasonable prices. The hostel is in Soweto suburb and about a 40 min walk from Moshi centre, but it's super easy to get a motorbike taxi or tuk-tuk into town (1400-2000 Tz shilling). Also, be sure to ask Thadey for advice in getting a local phone SIM, as some agencies in town may rip you off! A SIM plus data, straight from Vodafone, should not cost more than 21,000 shilling (Apr '25). I can whole-heartedly recommend this hostel, you don't need to look further for a place to stay in Moshi

We enjoyed the stay in this hostel very much. The staff was really friendly and helped us whenever we needed help. Especially we loved the area outside which invited us to relax. We definitely recommend this hostel to everyone.

I booked a four bed female dorm but ended up getting to all to myself. Breakfast was pancakes eggs fruit and coffee. Very friendly. Would stay here again. Rooms were spacious and clean. Hot water for shower. Decent towels.
