The room was large with door to outside the private seating area . Breakfast was lovely and plentiful. The owner, Peter, was helpful and organised a great safari and was very accommodating.

The homestay has a beautiful environment. The room we stayed in was spacious, clean and tidy. The breakfast was rich. Standing on the second floor platform, you can see the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. It is not far from the center of Moshi Town and the price is reasonable.

I liked everything- from location, which is in very quiet area, to staff that is very friendly here, so you reallyfeel home. Breakfasts are something else- very filing and delicious. Rooms are kept clean. They have hot water. From the property you can see Kili. I highly recommend staying at this place.

My stay at Karibu Africa was absolutely fantastic. Communication beforehand was excellent; we arrived in the early morning and were welcomed, Winnie and Neema prepared breakfast for us at any time, even if we woke up very late. Breakfast was plentiful, with delicious pancakes, eggs, fresh fruits, coffee, and tea. Drinking water was also provided. Besides the simple yet cozy interior, there's a small garden with a huge but friendly dog, a rooftop terrace from which you can see Kilimanjaro on a clear day, and a clothesline (great for backpackers and those traveling for multiple weeks). Even though I'd been to Moshi before, the information from our host Peter and driver John allowed me to explore some beautiful areas. They also offer tours that are truly worthwhile. All in all, a clean hostel for budget travelers who don't want to compromise on comfort, cleanliness and independence. I'll definitely be back.

Yard is beautiful and you can hang out with your friends at bonefire or hammocks. Peter is so helpful and friendly, he was helping me with everything. Rooms are nice and clean. Location is perfect, quiet but still close to town. Breakfast is fresh and there was lot of options.

I stayed in both the dormitory and private room and can totally recommend both. The private room has better insulation and a comfy blanket which is great. Clean showers and rooms & extremely welcoming staff. Peter helps with buses, transport, safari or any other request or question one might have.

I absolutely loved my stay at Karibu Africa Home! The location is perfect — within walking distance of the town center, supermarkets, and gear rentals if you’re planning to climb Kilimanjaro. The design is so cute and cozy, and the vibe is peaceful yet welcoming. Breakfast was incredible — fresh fruit, eggs, bread, pancakes — absolutely delicious! The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, and have everything you need. The staff were so kind and helpful, arranging things like airport transfers and even letting us leave our luggage while we were away climbing Kili for six days. I also loved that breakfast is shared with other guests — it made the mornings feel like a little community. The Wi-Fi can be a bit spotty in some rooms, but it works well in the common area. Honestly, I didn’t mind — it gave me a chance to switch off and be present. This place is such amazing value for money and truly exceeded my expectations. I’d definitely stay here again!
