This is the best place to stay in Moshi. It has a great location, friendly staff and good food for breakfast or dinner. The airport transfer always worked great and were on time. And the best part is that you can also book tours via the connected company. We booked Kilimanjaro hiking and Safari with the team. Everything was perfectly arranged and we could let our luggage in the hotel between the trips. Thanks for the whole team! If we return to Tanzania, we will come back to this place.

“Lovely stay in a nice chilled setting”
The place is lovely, chilled and a good place to hang out. The staff are great, the food nice (note it’s veggie only), and the waterfall/coffee tour we did was really good. Oh and the dog (Mackenzie) and cats/kittens are lovely and friendly!

“A Home from home”
What a find! Randomly booked this on a whim and 10 mins later I found myself at Backyard. The staff Ny, Yasmin and Olivia became family after only a few days. Backyard super chill / good vibes only sort of place - perfect for a solo traveler like myself on a bit of a budget or couples looking to relax in peace or even for families to come chill - everything just relaxed and easy going. Super close to Kilimanjaro and Waterfall’s etc so loads to do there too!

“A Home from home”

“It was a pleasant stay with all what we needed.”
Great atmosphere and really nice common areas. The breakfast is good, and the room had everything we needed. Just keep in mind to bring cash in USD — paying by card or in euros ends up being more expensive.

Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The common area was very comfortable with sofas and very good vibe, they offer cold beer, home cooked dinners and good coffee. There was also a tap with filtrated water which was super useful so we didn't have to buy water in plastic all the time. I wished we could have stayed longer
