“Amazing place in Moshi”

In the past 6 weeks I have stayed almost every weekend at the Ameg Lodge and the experiece has been absolutely perfect. A couple of weeks ago I booked a stay at another accommodation, because Ameg Lodge was already fully booked. I immediately regretted it! The facilities at Ameg are perfect: a clean gym where they have everything you need for a good workout; a beautiful, clean pool with nice sunbeds where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings; a restaurant with amazing food and good prices; staff that is professional and friendly, but at the same time discrete and beautiful rooms providing everything that you need for a good rest (nice bed with mosquitonet, airco and clean bathroom with hot shower and fresh towels daily). The staff is also available at every moment to help you and answer any questions. They also make it possible to leave your luggage at the reception after checkout. I asked if it was okay to stay at the pool and have some food at the restaurant the day that I checked out (after 10am) and that was completely fine. The last 3 stays they even gave me an upgrade to the junior suite, because they wanted to show their appreciation for me coming back at their place :). Would absolutely recommend Ameg Lodge when staying in Moshi.

My daughter stayed here before travelling home after volunteering at a hospital nearby as a nurse and as she was travelling alone I was a bit worried, however the staff were very welcoming and helpful before she arrived which reassured me. The food was excellent and she enjoyed the tranquility of the pool area.

Bar and restaurant were excellent and the staff were extremely attentive. The hotel management gave wise advice regarding excursions. The food quality was very good and the pool area was extremely relaxing.

The rest of my stay in Tanzania I will keep coming here in my free time when I am in Moshi :)

Perfect stay, clean, safe, thoughtfully equipped amenities, good gym, phenomenal staff who are kind and discreet. Beautiful surroundings in harmony with the many birds (including a good number of marabou storks) and local fauna that obviously consider this an oasis.

“An idyllic place in Moshi”

Ameg Lodge Kilimanjaro is the perfect place for relaxing while enjoying visiting Moshi and Kilimanjaro. There are several quite spaces for relaxing, enjoying a drink or interacting with travel companions without invading any privacy of other guests. Personally, I loved the open-air SPA area where one can enjoy a massage in full privacy, while hearing the birds singing. I still dream about my massage thanks to a very kind and skilled masseuse - thank you !!! The garden is really beautiful with flowers, trees (offering refreshing shades) and beautiful harmless animal like birds, butterfly or colourful lizard. The rooms, all with their own porch, are super clean, perfectly equipped and functional with a light breeze that allows chilling down without need of air conditioning (which is also available if one wishes) and everything is in full harmony and respect of local style, culture. Last but not least, all the staff and people working at Ameg have been very kind and always smiling, welcoming and ready to help when needed, throughout our stay. THANK YOU, for the warm welcome !! I warmly recommend Ameg Lodge Kilimanjaro !!

“Exceptional”

Thank you to everyone for making our stay at Ameg Lodge quite exceptional. Beautiful hotel, peaceful, well organised, excellent staff and service. The food in the restaurant was really good - well presented and freshly prepared meals with a great choice at the buffet breakfast in the morning. The pool was amazing, clean and inviting - plenty of shady sunbeds and very attentive poolside staff. Our room was air conditioned and had a mosquito net. Clean, and plenty of hot water. Great service on cleaning and restocking with water every day. Reception staff, Diana in particular, helped to sort out some extras I needed on my booking and organise an airport transfer and trip into town. All in all, it was great value for money, and a really pleasant place to stay. I started my stay as a single female solo traveler, waiting for my husband to come down from Kilimanjaro, and felt very safe and well looked after. Well done to all the Staff at Ameg. Excellent job. Highly recommended.

I have stayed to weeks at Ameg lodge, and after spending time at 5 different hotels/lodges in, and around Moshi the past 5 years. This is now my new favourite spot. The sourroundings are beautiful and It is peaceful and quiet. It is a littlebit outside of town, but you can find resturants/cafe’s within walking distance. It is also just a short trip by Bajaji to town (7 min and aprox. 2$). Due to my long stay we have tried almost everything on their menu for lunch/dinner, and not once have we been dissapointed! The food is delicious. The rooms are very nice, and always clean. The pool area has comfortable beds, the pool has good temperature and you get fresh towles everyday. The gym has everything you need for a good workout. The staff also needs to be mentioned. Everyone - from the guys at the gate, the cleaners, the gardeners, the ladies in the reseption area, and the waiters are all so nice and welcoming. They go above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. I was here with a friend, but I have also seen people with kids, and think this is a good spot to bring my own kids one day. We will definitely come back next year.

There is a scam going on at reception, tried to get me into a room with a matress someone had wet themselves in, and when I refused they wouldnt give me the refund.

A beautiful hotel with a wonderful atmosphere. The staff are extremely friendly, kind, and helpful, but never intrusive. The food is very good and well prepared. The hotel itself is stunning, and it’s a perfect place to relax — whether by the pool or inside the hotel. I highly recommend staying here.
